You’re not bad at asking for help.
You’ve just been the strong one for too long.
The reliable one.
The capable one.
The one who “handles it.”
And when that becomes your identity, needing support can feel uncomfortable.
Not because you don’t need it.
But because your system learned that your value comes from holding everything together.
This is something I see often in therapy.
And it’s exhausting carrying that role alone.
