🧠✨ New research shows dopamine can reduce impulsiveness and help us stay focused on long-term rewards, and it beautifully reflects what we do in Solution Focused Hypnotherapy.
A recent neuroscience study found that when dopamine levels were boosted, people became less impulsive and more willing to wait for a meaningful reward, rather than rushing for quick, short-term relief.
This is exactly the space SFH works in. When we’re stressed, tired, overwhelmed or anxious, our brain naturally pushes us toward quick fixes, anything that gives immediate relief. But these “instant” reactions can keep us stuck in unhelpful loops.
🌱 In SFH, we help the brain shift into a calmer, more rational state so you can:
• pause instead of react
• choose long-term wellbeing over short-term coping
• build new habits that are rewarding, sustainable and aligned with who you want to be
• reconnect with motivation and clear thinking.
Hypnosis helps quiet the survival brain and activate the intellectual brain, the part of you that can wait, reflect, plan and choose what truly benefits you.
If you’re working on anxiety, low mood, stress, habits or emotional regulation, this research is a wonderful reminder: your brain can absolutely change - and SFH helps you do it in a gentle, positive way.
