Emetophobia is a fear of sickness and vomit. It is a complex phobia that can be completely debilitating. Winter can be a really triggering time for those who suffer with this phobia.

It’s an area I specialise in, with both clinical and lived experience.

This beautiful book lives by my bed and contains the most wonderfully wise words.

Helping young people to feel not just comfortable but confident in themselves is a huge section of my work and a part that I’m so honoured to be part of.

Modern life can be so hard with so much comparison, consumerism and disconnection.

Remembering and celebrating unique strengths and qualities can be enormously empowering. 🙌

Worry is your brains way of trying to keep you and your child safe - remember that our brains have a negativity bias which will always present possible problems.

Take a breath, feel your feet on the ground and allow your shoulders drop.

Then flip the script and ask yourself ‘what if’ in a positive way:

✨ What if it all works out
✨ What if it turns out to be a brilliant day
✨ What if I didn’t need to spend all this time worrying

Allowing yourself to think of possible positive outcomes rather than disaster movie thinking will help balance the scales and help you feel more hopeful and positive.
