This week is cervical cancer prevention week. As young people, you get vaccinated with the HPV vaccine in year 8 of school to help prevent cervical cancer and other cancers.
So, as part of the Act on Cancer Together working with the TDC Youth Team, we wanted to squash any confusion surrounding the vaccine and why it is important to get vaccinated.
It is important to stay protected! So, if you have missed getting you HPV vaccine, you can receive this with your local GP up to the age of 25.
Another important message is getting to know your body and what is right for you, which can help spot signs of cancer early. The earlier spotted, better the outcomes!
