This Space and Circle holds 2 years of memories 🧡

Songs sung, laughter shared, connections made and felt, Tears shed, Joy shared, Support felt, Voices Heard, Tea drunk, Cake eaten 🧡

This space has become so familiar to me, and I really do love it. The routine I have, turning up after school drop off, make delicious and necessary coffee, putting out of chairs, arranging toys and getting tea and cake ready 👌

How does turning up to work not really feel like work?!

We are singing Sula Lula which is a Norwegian lullaby, such a beautiful song!

Come and join our community ☺️
We meet here Tuesdays and Wednesdays 10-11:30☝🏽

We had band practice yesterday and have really been enjoying weaving some of my acapella songs into our usual Solebound folk numbers 💕

Our performances over the last couple of years have definitely featured a few of them, ‘Singing for Peace’ has been a favourite and a special memory that stands out is singing our hearts out together with the audience at .earth in one of our favourite places to play in the 🧡

Since becoming leader and a song sharer in Circle one cannot help but ask for some audience involvement!?

Helen who is a Solebound member actually created the top harmony for Singing for Peace so we are very much into co-creating and supporting 🧡

co-creating, supporting, collaboration, connections and Community 🧡

Yesterday’s rehearsal, like most of my musical work life was full of singing, copious amounts of tea, children playing, giggles and connection 🧡

I wrote this song in December when I was reflecting on all the light around us whether it be Hanukkah, Christmas,Solstice, Divali…it was everywhere!!
For me its important to remember that we are actually the light, we have it within us, and that we need to let that light shine out and connect us all💫

It was also written as a way to manifest good and light against all the hatred and darkness that is permeating through the land and beyond..

“Be the light”

We are the light
Be the light
Open your heart
Open your heart

Our Women’s Singing Circle opened in July 2024 and is growing beautifully week by week, mostly word of mouth, organically spreading the word about how simply brilliant it is to come and sing with some lovely women on a Wednesday evening 🧡☺️🎶

Which is why I have only now shared the flyer?!!

We have much fun, depth, calm, connections and collectiveness it’s just simply one of my favourite times of the week, and I always leave feelings happier and lighter than when I arrived 👌

Here we are singing “I believe” which is such a simple yet profound mantra that I with all my heart try and live by!

This song was gifted to me by Una as an exchange with my song “Singing for Peace” 💕

We have been LOVING singing this in all my groups and Women’s Singing Circle🧡🎶

Come and find your voice and join us!
With love, Laura

This was an amazing day 🧡
Meeting fellow community leaders and trainees 🧡

I came away feeling super connected to the wonderful Singing Mamas’s network that is like a beautiful web spinning over a few continents now!

Even though for many song leaders this is a remote kind of work it’s super that we have opportunities like this to come together, to learn, to connect, to be held in a safe space and of course to sing!

What an honor to lead my song “Singing For Peace”🙏🏼💫🎶🧡

This is an amazing movement and I’m so forever grateful to be a part of it 👌

Massive thanks to .singingmamas.selondon for capturing this and many other beautiful moments of the day!💫

As I was leading this beautiful song by Nick Prater called “The humming Round” I remember thinking, wow, who’d have known that when I began on my journey as a community leader I’d be invited to lead circles at gorgeous well-being retreats like this one led by Sarah , a fellow Woodingdean community connector 🧡👌

The space and vibe was so perfect;everyone was already at easy and open to what may arrive !

I had the luxury of being able to not only share songs but eat the most delicious food and take part in yoga nidra, which was most very welcome at that particular time 🙌

Thank you Sarah for creating the magic and inviting me into your sacred space 💫

Welcome to our circle in Patcham, Brighton 😊

This is a very special and unique circle as it is held in a care home so we have an inter-generational wealth of women and babes 👌

You can hear singing, chatting, giggling, baby sounds, laughter.. it’s a joyful space and I love my Thursday mornings so much 🥰

We are singing Nick Prater’s song “Humming Round” which I’m currently obsessed with, the harmonies create the most beautiful sound and the positive effect this has on the body and mind felt immediately🧡

There’s always space for more 😉
We meet Thursday’s 10:15-11:45 💫

Or if you can’t make this one, then my other circles are in Woodingdean on the other side of Brighton on Tuesday and Wednesday mornings 👌

We were nourished by delicious songs and cake and tea and beautiful readings by Laura 💫

Highly recommend Laura’s Heart and Harmony circles, she’ll be holding them once a month and they are very much needed especially for those who facilitate and hold space as it’s a time when you can be held and witnessed in circle 🧡

Laura has a beautiful voice and her carefully crafted song choices were in keeping with the season, very humbling to have taught one of mine “Deepest Winter”
( have never experienced this so was rather lovely!)

Lovely to support a friend and fellow leader, she runs a Singing Mamas group on a Thursday morning in Henfield so you are very lucky if you’re close by and able to join!

Here is a short snippet of glorious singing from the circle, we are singing “Sacred Woman” (of course 😊👌🧡)

Last week was super special.. 🦄
Celebrating two years as a song leader 😀🧡💕💫🎶🌱

I remember that very first day, a Wednesday morning in January 2024, setting up our space with my then 2 year old daughter Noa, thinking oh my gosh is this going to work with her being at work with me?!!!
I remember how nervous I was before the first song..
we sang “when I rise” a song by Wendy Tuck from Wendel Berry’s poem, I was on the edge of a precipice!!

I literally had no idea how this work of song sharing would become my life, my joy, my purpose 🧡

2 years of leading women in song
2 years of joy, love and connection
2 years of new beautiful songs learnt and shared
2 years of learning the sacred honour of holding space
2 years of LOTS OF TEA
2 years of making GAZILLION VEGAN BANANA CAKES
2 years of building the most INCREDIBLE communities
2 years of meeting wonderful fellow leaders
2 years of working alongside my daughter
2 years of being SEEN and HEARD
2 years of having a SANCTUARY
2 years of singing and laughter and pride
2 years of watching women close their eyes whilst sing and find THEIR PLACE
2 years of MANY shared WhatsApp voice notes of songs with other SM leaders
2 years of having the BEST JOB

I thank ALL THE WOMEN who chose my group to join and continue to be part of this incredible community that we’ve all created together 🧡

I’m also celebrating 1 year of my second group that I started here in Woodingdean!
I was so unsure if and how it would grow but I had faith and it did grow and continues too!

The picture shown (missing a few of course due to the season 🤧) is of our sweet Tuesday Singing Mamas circle and the most beautiful song you can hear us singing is Sarah Bell’s “Together we are One” which is my newest mist favourite song, thank you Sarah!

And we all spin round on this Earth together
And we all set sail on the Sea of Life
And we all dance on No matter the weather
Together we are One under the Sun

In March we will be celebrating 2 years of our Patcham circle!!🙌💕💫🎶👌🧡🥳

Our first mini retreat was a wonderful success; blessed by the gorgeous January sun, the absolutely perfect space at and a circle of lovely women who came to recharge themselves and be immersed in the act of self care, nature connection, gentle intention setting and reflections on their past year 🌿

We sang, We ate, We Weaved, We Forest bathed, We Sat in a Circle with our eyes closed listening to the crackling of the Fire 🌿

Working with was an absolute joy, and we are already planning our next one set to be sometime in April so do get in touch if you’d like to join as we have limited spaces 💚

Thank you to Lucy from for your absolutely perfect space for our retreat 🌿💕🌱

Being a leader is often a remote kind of job for many who are part of this wonderful network; we don’t go to the office or a place of work and meet our colleagues, we go to our venues/spaces and create and hold our circles 🧡

Soooooo to meet our colleagues why not meet up in the woods and connect, have a fire, drink chai and sing?! 🧡

There’s many of us down here in Sussex and I’m always up for a gathering so we are, having a sing, in the woods, looking forward to many more! 🧡

Thanks to for your space 🌺

We’re singing my newest song “Be the Light” 💫

We are the light
Be the light
Open your heart
Open your heart

I Love being part of this January daily singing in our network, sharing beautiful songs and holding each other up in the process 🧡
Thanks to .singingmamas.cambs for organising!

Gorgeous share by .singingmamas.shoreham yesterday and looking forward to Sarah’s tomorrow ☺️

I’m singing “Rushing” by Wendy Luella-Perkins 🧡

I love singing this especially in the new year when we have to remind ourselves that we are still in winter and that we must remain slow!

I recorded this on Sunday in the Woods before meeting some fellow Singing Mama’s leader for a sing and a cuppa 🎶🧡

What am I rushing to
What am I rushing for
