We love water birth! It is a very safe option and can offer a calming, empowering experience.

Here’s what the latest research says!
A large 2024 study reviewed over 327,000 births and found that water birth is a safe option for low-risk pregnancies when done in the right setting.

Key findings:

No increased risk of infection for mothers or babies

Less postpartum bleeding

Fewer NICU admissions

Better Apgar scores

Less neonatal aspiration

Slightly higher risk of umbilical cord avulsion (when the cord detaches too early)—rare and manageable when properly handled.
