Don’t let yesterday spoil today…
It’s so easy for our focus to drift away… planning the future or remembering the past, leading to rumination. You know, when the needle gets stuck in the groove - normally a negative groove as that’s our minds natural bias.
Ruminating on the past or fretting about the future can lead us down some dark paths. When we keep our focus on present moment experience things seem much brighter.
Easier said than done but with a regular Mindfulness practice we can develop this skill of staying present.

Medication or meditation....?
Did you know that scientific studies have shown that Mindfulness meditation can be as effective as antidepressants, but with none of the side effects or down sides.
In fact, it’s so effective it’s now one of the preferred treatments recommended by the UK’s National Institute of Clinical Excellence, the body informing the NHS of best practice to be used.
We all have choices & options when it comes to our health & wellbeing. With more & more people becoming disillusioned with the prescribing habits of western culture it’s reassuring to know there are alternatives to pills & prescriptions...

In this often fast paced western culture we're taught that achieving goals, constant productivity & continuous movement is the way to get ahead in life...
Mindfulness invites us to slow down a little, or a lot. What if we took some time to move at a snails pace. What would we miss? What could we gain?
It's ok to take things east at times, why the rush? Be more snail

When we take our time - instead of rushing from A to B, being on auropilot, going over our to-do list or filling our heads with the ‘what/whys/maybes’,,, we give ourselves space, to move through life at a gentler & slower pace, allowing us to see & take in the beauty all round us, this way, even the most seemingly mundane things can take on a new life of depth & richness 💜

Hi, I’m Claire, welcome to my hello mindful page & thanks for stopping by.
I never really thought mindfulness was for me, it was for “those” people. You know those people, the ones who have their lives in order & can balance on a lotus leaf...on their head! It wasn’t until I stumbled across a free drop in class that I realised anyone could access the benefits of Mindfulness, even me.
I attended the first session when I was in a very bleak and chaotic place in my life, I was When I sat, closed my eyes and listened to the guidance from the teacher, for the first time in a long time there was some peace and a crack of light in the darkness, from then on I was hooked and my journey with Mindfulness has transformed my life. So I decided to train to teach mindfulness, so I could enable other people gain the benefit from this practice & way of being.
Having experienced first hand the barriers to accessing such courses & classes (partly through my own assumptions of what mindfulness is all about, who it is for & my personal physical access issues)I have put accessibility, affordability, inclusivity & approachability at the heart of Hello Mindful.
After completing my training at the Sussex mindfulness centre I have been teaching mindfulness courses/day retreats/workshops in the community & online to the general public, groups who identify themselves as disabled & people wanting help with addiction.
Research has shown time & time again how a regular Mindfulness practice can benefit us by reducing relapse if depression, help with stress & anxiety, improve sleep, help manage chronic pain, enhance relationships & manage difficult situations with more ease. There’s really nothing to lose....
