Making sure people are at the heart of our local health and social services. We’re independent, transparent and accountable and we’re powerful.
We can help you to navigate the health and care system. We go out to talk and listen to people from every part of our community, children, young people and adults about the services they use and what they think about them, so that we can make things better together. We’re a challenging organisation that doesn't ignore poor practice, and aims to help you to turn it into good practice. You can help us get stronger by telling us what’s going on in care services where you live. We're here to listen to what you want, what you like and what you dislike, and feed that information back to the decision makers.
This month includes a spotlight piece with The Hangleton and Knoll Project - HKP about a new community health drop-in, as well as reports from our work with Healthwatch West Sussex and Healthwatch East Sussex, plus local updates and news.
Thanks for reading! Let us know what you think.

People can live with HIV for a long time without any symptoms and testing is the only way to know your status. Testing is quick, easy, confidential, and free for everyone in the UK. If you have HIV, finding out means you can start treatment, stay healthy and avoid passing the virus onto anyone else.

We continue to operate as normal; we are here to listen to your experiences of using health and social care services and to speak up on your behalf. As we learn more about our future, we will keep you updated.
This month we've included our first public Homecare report with Brighton & Hove City Council, news from the local area including info about Neighbourhood Mental Health Teams, and a spotlight article with Lara at The Lonely Club.

Healthwatch Brighton and Hove is the independent champion for people who use health and social care services in Brighton and Hove.
Our job is to make sure that those who run local health and care services understand and act on what really matters to people.
We listen to what people tell us they like about services, and what could be improved. We share what people tell us with those with the power to make change happen. We encourage services to involve people in decisions that affect them.
We also help people find the information they need about services in their area.
