You are the expert on your body, whilst I have studied and read a text book or two, I'm not you and neither is the client I saw before you or after you. As a Tiger I pride myself on taking everyone at their individual places, I let you tell me what your experiences of your body are. How you are feeling, how you internalise and what your thresholds are... You are more important than a text book definition .

On that note, meeting a client with the language they use is also of great significance to demonstrating gratitude and mutual respect. So, if a client refers to a trigger point as a knot, my job is not to correct that and therefore refrain from using that description, because "I'm an expert" my job, is to connect and be realistic, authentic and practise with integrity. So yes I will say "knot" because I come from the assumption that any reasonable adult knows their muscle doesn't literally become a knot.(Even those of us who take a lot literally ) But language forms a part of how you communicate what's happening for you.

Just to explain my tangent... I saw a post by another professional that suggested several things that we, soft tissue experts should stop doing . .

I am not taking part in the interclub today for various reasons but I cannot express my gratitude towards this human enough. Samwise from for introducing me to K1 which is a sport I have grown with and even stepped out of my comfort zone to take part in interclubs.

How very touching and much appreciated! As many of you know I have been teaching with Jing on certain courses but I am now, with other keen Totos (teacher training one-2-one) on their training course. So receiving this little gem a few days after was a real boost. Thank you!

Frist week of November was another teaching week for me. Another stage in my teacher training programme with .

Myself and Teresa teach bodyworks beginnings together and I am really enjoying the progress, Teresa is a fantastic mentor and together we do our best to fulfill the Jing ethos of making learning as supportive and accessible to a variety of learning styles, and a variety of personal issues that adults naturally carry.

That's partly why it always looks like fun! We work with the Biopsychosocial model wether in clinic or as teachers.
