Bringing fun to exercise and accountability, helping to rebalance the body. My aim is to help you become aware of your body, health and fitness. As a personal trainer, pilates instructor & group exercise instructor I can help you to achieve your fitness goals whether it's to lose weight or maybe complete your first 5k event. As a clinical and remedial soft tissue therapist I can work with chronic and acute soft tissue injuries. The aim is to help reduce pain, improve range of movement, re-balance the body over time, remove scar tissue and adhesion's, help in muscle recovery, sleep and general wellness. No one client is the same, therefore my treatments and training sessions are bespoke to each client.

Book I’m loving (and learning from!) 📚

This one’s a tough read, so I actually recommend the audiobook version — but it’s so worth it.

Ultra-Processed People by Chris van Tulleken dives deep into what ultra-processed foods are really doing to our bodies. We all know they’re not great, but this book really opens your eyes to why.

What we eat can have such a huge impact on our hormones, energy, and mood. It’s made me even more passionate about eating as cleanly and simply as possible — real food that nourishes, not depletes.

If you’ve been curious about how food affects your body and mind, this one’s a must-listen.

A day in my life 💛

Most mornings start the same way… with my girls waking me up before the alarm! We get ready, have breakfast, and walk to school together. I love that little bit of fresh air before the day begins.

Then it’s time to train my clients, both 1:1 and in small group classes. In between, I record my own 15-minute workouts — the ones that keep me grounded and energised.

Afternoons are all about school pick-up, snacks, and mum life. Sometimes I squeeze in another client or an evening class once the girls are in bed.

It’s a full day, but movement is what keeps me balanced through it all. Even 15 minutes makes such a difference.

Hi, I’m Sam 👋

Mum to two girls and wife to Dan. I’m a personal trainer, Pilates instructor, and soft tissue therapist based in Hove.

In my 20s, I completely fell out of love with exercise and wasn’t taking care of myself. But once I started moving again, everything changed. Exercise helped me feel balanced, strong, and more like me again.

Now, through SB Fitness, I help others rediscover that same joy in movement. I’ve supported hundreds of people to move better, feel stronger, and improve both their physical and mental health.

I offer 1:1 sessions (in person and online) and classes from my studio in Hove.

Have you promised you'd get fit, lose weight or stronger but you lack time and motivation to workout?

I offer daily 15min workouts, great for time tight people who can't get to a gym or class.

Each day we cover different aspects but in a week we cover 3 x strength, 2 × pilates, 1 x mobility and 1 x cardio.

At 6am daily you are sent your workout. This can be done anytime, anywhere.

I check in daily on WhatsApp to keep you accountable and answer any questions you may have.

Today was a 1st for Grace and I. We attended Brighton and Hove albion womens football at Broadfield Stadium.

I thought it was a great way to introduce Grace to watching live football. She absolutely loved it and got to watch some of the players from the England squad.

It's been a great weekend for women in sport. England beating Canada yesterday in womens rugby world cup and Brighton Albion winning against Everton.

Summer Holidays, I have space in Pilates classes:
Monday 21st & 28th July, 4th August and 1st September @ 9.15am & 7.30pm
Wednesday 23rd & 30th July, 6th & 27th August and 3rd September @ 7.30pm

New Term starts
Monday pilates 9.15am & 7.30pm 8th September for 7 weeks
Wednesday pilates 7.30pm 10th September for 7 weeks
Wednesday strength 9.15am 17th September for 6 weeks
Thursday pilates 9.15am 18th September for 6 weeks

New classes TBC
30min lunchtime class to get the metabolism up using strength.
45min lunchtime pilates

Other things on offer at SB FitnessI run on a monthly subscription daily 15 min workouts, these come to you 6am everyday via email. You can do them anywhere, anytime you can use bodyweight. I will add you to my busymums workouts whatsapp and check in daily to keep you accountable.

I also offer this as a 6 week summer program if time is tight with the holidays and your usual routine is out the window.
Can't commit to 15 mins daily I am happy to send over 3 workouts a week you can do.

Monthly subscription is £40, the 6 weeks is £60. If you would like the 6 weeks but 3 times a week £40

I have limited space to train clients on a 1 to 1 or 2 to 1 (friend or partner). Prices vary depending on block and length.

Lastly, I offer soft tissue massage at mine for about 60 mins, this is £40.
