Yesterday I facilitated a somatic and breath based session at for Imbolc, a moment of seasonal shift, of thawing, of releasing what’s been carried through winter and gently inviting in what’s ready to grow.
Around 40 people gathered in the yurt, the biggest group I’ve ever held. There were moments that asked me to practise what I teach. The timing shifted, the day didn’t follow the programme exactly, and I had to meet that uncertainty in my own body first.
I usually work with headphones, but this time I used a mic. I wasn’t sure how it would land. And actually, it worked beautifully. Clear, connected, and surprisingly intimate.
We began with tapping and moved into a lot of shaking, letting the body discharge and soften. We worked with breath, with nostril breathing, with stillness, and with a closing meditation focused on release and intention, making space for what we want to invite in next.
What moved me most was how fully people leaned into it. You can see it in the room, in the bodies, in the collective presence. Even with the weather doing its thing, even with the unpredictability of a live event, there was patience, care, and a deep sense of togetherness.
I’m so grateful to everyone who showed up and trusted the process. Experiences like this remind me why I do this work. Not to fix or push, but to create spaces where bodies feel safe enough to respond to change, to let go, and to begin again.
Thank you Culture of Care for having me, and thank you to everyone who breathed, shook, rested, and shared the space.
If you were there, I’d love to hear what stayed with you.
