Getting the best raw honey, raw bee pollen, and organic bees wax to people. We're about pure honey from pure wild places and supporting small scale beekeepers who care about their bees and don't give them antibiotics and other medicines that contaminate the honey and pollen. How did we start? By discovering an amazing honey that tasted completely unlike anything you can buy on the shelves of a supermarket here. It was in a little shop on the border between France and Spain - in the Pyrenees. Later we met the enigmatic beekeeper behind the honey, Tio Ramon. Tio Ramon loves his bees and is committed to pure raw honey from bees in some of the wildest parts of Spain. He lives on a patch of land with his family, where they grow all their own food. We started to bring this honey back from the Pyrenees in larger and larger quantities. When people tried it and said that they'd never tasted anything like it before we realised that there's a terrible shortage of proper raw honey in the UK and elsewhere. Now we have over 16 types of raw honey - from plants as varied as the Oak tree to the Fir tree or Wild Lavender to Orange Blossom. Each has a unique flavour and properties. Oak for instance is higher in minerals and amino acids than most honeys as well as higher molecular weight sugars (oligosaccharides) - this is good. Oligosaccharides are prebiotics that have a beneficial effect on bacteria in the digestive system. You can buy some of our honeys at http://www.therawhoneyshop.com/. My wife died after a long illness. She wanted me to carry on with The Raw Honey Shop and that is what I am doing.

Just arrived here at The Raw Honey Shop.

Our new season olive oil from Mount Olympus is here - and when it’s gone, it’s gone.

At the end of October, Tim and Claire travelled out to help with the harvest on Egli’s remote hillside grove. No modern roads. No neighbouring farms spraying chemicals. Just wild herbs underfoot, goats in the distance, and olive trees irrigated by a pure spring running off Olympus itself.

Her oil is certified organic and biodynamic - grown without herbicides or synthetic inputs. Unlike most growers, she doesn’t clear the wild plants beneath the trees (there’s strong evidence this natural competition boosts polyphenol levels). Everything is harvested by hand, no machines - and pressed the very same day to protect flavour and freshness.

The variety is Amphisis: a traditional Greek olive known for producing a beautifully balanced, rounded oil.

Unfiltered. Single harvest. Bottled in small batches.

After visiting the grove and seeing the care taken at every step, we secured her entire harvest for this year - exclusively for our customers.

Our latest delivery from Greek beekeeper Thomas nearly didn’t happen…

A farmers’ strike blocked the roads out of Karditsa, stopping all delivery trucks. No way in, no way out.

Beekeeper Luisa’s daughter Olaya has a very exciting project beginning to study the habits of their bees.

The groundbreaking study even made the news in Spain!

At Olaya Miel in Felechosa (Asturias), a network of sensors has been installed inside a beehive as part of the (Be)etogether project—an innovative exploration of the invisible connections between pollinators, technology, and humans.

The system monitors everything from bee movement and internal hive vibrations to air quality, UV levels, temperature, and even wind patterns—capturing a detailed picture of the shared environment.

Using AI, the collected data is being translated into insights that reveal patterns and dynamics beyond human perception—offering new ways to understand and relate to the ecosystems around us.

This project is more than observation—it’s a new form of connection.
