The Mediterranean diet is one of the most researched dietary patterns for inflammation and cardiometabolic health.

For people living with psoriasis, this matters - because psoriasis is a systemic inflammatory condition, not just a skin issue. Recent studies show that adopting a Mediterranean-style diet improves psoriasis severity scores.

Rather than focusing on restriction, the Mediterranean diet emphasises:
Whole foods
Healthy fats
Long-term sustainability
In our latest blog, we explore the evidence, key foods, cooking approaches, and how this pattern may support people with psoriasis as part of a wider care plan.

Green leafy vegetables are more than just a source of vitamins 🥦

Certain greens contain glucosinolates, which are converted into sulforaphane — a compound shown to support one of the body’s own antioxidant and cellular defence systems.

This matters in psoriasis, where oxidative stress and chronic inflammation play a key role.

Green leafy vegetables may also support gut health, another important consideration in psoriasis nutrition.
Broccoli sprouts are the most concentrated dietary source of sulforaphane, but variety matters — regularly including around two portions of key green leafy vegetables can be a supportive starting point.

Psoriasis nutrition is about more than just the skin ⚡️

Omega-3 fatty acids are often discussed in relation to psoriasis — but their role is best understood in the context of systemic inflammation, immune balance and cardiovascular health.

In our latest blog, Psoriasis Nutrition and Omega-3: What You Need to Know, we explore:
• what omega-3s (EPA & DHA) actually do in the body• why research findings in psoriasis are mixed• how omega-3s support inflammatory balance and heart health• food sources vs supplements

This is an evidence-led look at where omega-3s fit into psoriasis nutrition — without hype or over-promising.

Fermented Foods and Psoriasis: What’s the Connection?

Your skin and gut are more connected than you might think. Research shows that people with psoriasis often have an imbalance in gut bacteria — a state called dysbiosis — which can drive inflammation throughout the body.

Fermented foods like kefir, sauerkraut, kimchi, and miso contain beneficial bacteria that help restore microbial balance, strengthen the gut barrier, and calm immune overactivity — all key factors in skin health.

When your gut is nourished, your skin often follows.

Curious about how to use fermented foods safely and effectively for psoriasis?

Psoriasis nutrition can feel confusing — especially when every source seems to recommend a different “diet”.

The truth?
There is no single psoriasis diet that works for everyone.

But there are evidence-based first steps that can support skin health by reducing overall inflammatory load and supporting metabolic and gut health.

In our latest blog, we break down:
• where to start with psoriasis nutrition
• why sustainable changes matter more than restriction
• how food fits into a whole-body approach to skin health

If you’re feeling overwhelmed by conflicting advice, this is a good place to begin.
