This is funny but phobias can be life disrupting

Phobias are one of my specialities

Over the years I have treated people using kinesiology muscle testing with phobias about:

spiders
driving (turning right!)
mushrooms
eating vegetables
eating
flying
heights
lifts

Remember a phobia is illogical - it's not a rational fear with a known cause (although sometimes we do find a historic subconscious cause)

Festive Felicitations to my clients, students past and present.

This is crazy Ask yourself Who actually BENEFITS from this ban...and who has actually been harmed... Not being banned due to danger just being banned because they want more regulation CRAZY.. Isn't QUORN a novel food ???

Two years ago when I wanted to start my mushroom range with Turkey Tail.
I was told no - TT comes under the ‘novel food act’

I was pi**ed enough then - TT is anticancer and it was my number ONE recommended therapeutic shroom.

And today I woke up to the news that Cordyceps has been added to that list!!!

And honestly?
I’m done pretending this makes any sense.

We’re not talking about dangerous chemicals or back-alley supplements.

We’re talking about medicinal mushrooms used safely for thousands of years, growing in our own forests, backed by solid science.

But apparently:
tradition doesn’t matter.
evidence doesn’t matter.
safe human use doesn’t matter.

Only arbitrary bureaucratic cut-off dates matter.

My good friend Jack from .uk summed it up perfectly:

“This is where well-meaning regulation becomes actively harmful.
Traditional knowledge? Irrelevant.
Centuries of safe use? Irrelevant.
Being native to the UK? Irrelevant.
Only box-ticking counts.”

Meanwhile, other countries are building thriving medicinal mushroom industries while the UK strangles its own with red tape.

It’s not just frustrating — it’s nonsensical, controlling and economically self-defeating.

I’ve spent two years building a fully legal mushroom brand here.

Jumping through hoops, following every rule…

And now one of the safest, most studied fungi on earth is suddenly off the table.

I'm currently teaching 2 ladies on a kinesiology foundation course and yesterday one of the topics was phobias. I always try to deal with an issue that is real when teaching and "fortunately" both ladies were terrified of spiders... one far more so than the other to the extent that she couldn't even say the word and had to spell it out S.P.I.D.E.R.S and was shaking and had to even cover over the cartoon picture of a spider in the learning materials !!

With the very simple technique she was finally able to stop shaking, uncover the picture AND even say SPIDERS.. Her husband was amazed when she got home. I don't expect her to get a pet spider any time soon but it's a layer of stress removed and with some further work I am confident she will be far more chilled in future.

The other lady was able to put a bowl over spiders but not deal from there so that's our goal for her. The thought of it didn't weaken her muscle response so that's a positive start .. we weren't about to go searching one out 😀

4 more qualified Kinesiologists have their wings today... Here they are presenting each other with their Certificates after a year of advanced kinesiology diploma training.

ONE of the joys of teaching is seeing student confidence grow and personalities develop alongside learning wonderful skills. They are all wonderful Practitioners and now have a group bond.

Thank you to the 4 lovely ladies who came in as Assessment Clients yesterday and to those who have given their time over the year to be demo bodies - much appreciated

I'm currently busy with a foundation course and havent got any more dates planned as yet for either foundation or diploma but if you are contemplating learning kinesiology, give me a call.
