🌿 Spring Equinox Sauna Ritual 🌿
Friday 20th March · 6.30 to 8.00pm
📍 Saltdean Sauna

A special equinox gathering to honour nature's new year. A moment of balance between light and dark. A turning point where the earth begins to wake and energy quietly begins to rise.

This sauna journey is an invitation into warmth, breath and release. Heat seeps into the muscles, sweat softens the skin, steam opens the lungs and settles the nervous system. Moving through the elements in their natural rhythm, you are gently guided from reflection into renewal, shedding winter's heaviness and stepping into the brighter season feeling clear, grounded and reawakened.

🍃 Air | Breath & Intention
We begin with breathwork and essential oils to clear the mind and open the lungs. A gentle space to set intentions for the season ahead.

💧 Water | Cleansing & Release
Steam and warm water soften the body and wash away any heaviness from winter. A cleansing for what feels complete, creating space for growth.

🔥 Fire | Awakening
Leaf whisking to stimulate circulation and ignite inner vitality. As the light strengthens outside, we kindle our own inner flame and welcome fresh momentum.

🌍 Earth | Grounding & Renewal
A homemade birch-infused sugar scrub to exfoliate and nourish the skin, anchoring intentions into the body and reconnecting with the steady wisdom of the earth.

The Spring Equinox reminds us that growth does not rush, it unfolds. This is a space to pause, realign and consciously step into the brighter half of the year.

✨ Come to reset. Come to envision. Come to rise with the season.

Shed & Stride - A 3-Card Tarot Spread for the Lunar New Year & New Moon

Card 1 — What Is Shedding?

What pattern, belief, expectation or role feels complete?
What have you quietly outgrown?

Card 2 — What Is Ready to Move?

Where is energy building?
What wants courage, momentum or clearer action?

Card 3 — What Might Be Next?

If you respond with awareness and intention, what direction could unfold over the coming weeks?
What emerging theme is asking for your attention?

🐍 Today marks the transition from the Year of the Snake to the Year of the Horse, and it also coincides with the New Moon.

Whether you connect with astrology or not, moments like this are powerful because they create a sense of reset. Culturally, seasonally and psychologically, it is a shift.

The Snake is often associated with reflection, subtle transformation and quiet wisdom. The Horse symbolises vitality, movement and momentum. Together they ask a simple question. What am I ready to shed, and where am I ready to move?

This spread is not about predicting the future. It is about perspective. Tarot can be spiritual, symbolic or simply reflective. At its heart, it is a tool for structured self inquiry. It helps us surface patterns we might already feel but have not yet named. It gives shape to our thinking.

The New Moon, particularly in Aquarius, carries themes of fresh thinking and looking ahead. It offers a gentle invitation to check in with yourself and consider what you would like to invite in the coming weeks.

Nothing dramatic. Just intentional.

What feels complete?
What wants movement?
What might be next if you choose consciously?

You do not have to believe in tarot for it to be useful. Sometimes asking better questions is all it takes to shift direction.

Let me know how this spread helps you 🐎 and happy new year to those who celebrate today X

For centuries, this land has welcomed those in transition.

What began as stables for the nearby château became a family holiday home and restoration project 40 years ago. Barn by barn, summer by summer, generations of hands have shaped it. Grandparents, parents, siblings, friends. Bare feet. Long evenings. Shared meals. Laughter echoing between stone walls.

For the past decade, Sam has not just been running retreats here, but also transforming the space into somewhere that holds deeper rest. With his carpentry skills, he has built a sauna, a wood-fired pizza oven and a yurt for meditation, while creating both indoor and outdoor yoga spaces for practice.

Alongside these, the farm now holds ten bedrooms, a swimming pool for long, slow afternoons, indoor and outdoor spaces to relax, and wide open fields stretching in every direction. It is peaceful, quiet and perfect for stargazing under vast French skies.

And when you feel like exploring, the historic towns of Chinon and Richelieu are just nearby.

This July, we gather here together.

Six days in the French countryside. Movement, rest, creativity, good food and nature. Space to slow down before journeying onward again.

If you feel the pull of this place, Kira and Jas .newsome.yoga would love to welcome you.

We are often far harsher with ourselves than we would ever be with anyone else.

Self-criticism feels productive. It feels like we’re “doing something” about the problem. But more often than not, it just keeps us stuck.

Curiosity is different.

Curiosity asks: Why did that land so deeply?
What might I need right now?
What is this reaction protecting?

In both coaching and tarot, this is where the real shifts happen. Not in judgement. Not in forcing change. But in gently exploring what’s underneath.

Growth doesn’t happen because we’re cruel to ourselves.
It happens when we’re willing to look closer.

If something has been feeling heavy lately, what would it be like to get curious about it instead of critical?

Community means everything to me.

When I host gatherings, I often hear people say, "Your friends are so nice." And of course they are. We've built something rooted in kindness, generosity, and showing up for one another. We give what we can, when we can and when it's our time of need, we're held and supported in return.

I feel that same deep sense of connection at our retreat, being surrounded by people who come with open hearts, ready to share, listen, and support each other. It is such a beautiful reminder of how powerful it is when we come together with intention.

🌿 Winter’s End Sauna Ritual 🌿
Wednesday 4th February · 7:00 to 8:00pm @ Saltdean Sauna

A one-off sauna journey to honour the turning of the seasons.
A moment to say goodbye to winter, welcome the returning light, and celebrate Imbolc, the ancient festival of renewal, hope and the first whispers of spring.

This 60-minute guided ritual moves gently through the elements:

🍃 Air | Breath
Cleansing scents and mindful breathing to clear the mind and invite fresh beginnings, as the days slowly grow lighter.

💧 Water | Flow & Release
Warm steam and soothing water to cleanse the body, wash away the old, and create space for what is ready to emerge.

🔥 Fire | Awakening
Leaf whisking to warm the skin, stir the blood and spark inner fire, inspired by Imbolc’s sacred flames and the return of life.

🌍 Earth | Grounding
A homemade birch-infused sugar scrub to nourish and renew, reconnecting with the earth as nature begins to awaken.

As we are also about to step into the Chinese New Year of the Horse in mid February, we symbolically shed the energy of the Snake, moving forward with clarity, momentum and fresh intention.

A space to release, reset and welcome the new season.

Join us for a Creative Wellness Retreat in the Loire Valley next summer 🌞

From 9th–14th July 2026, we’ll gather at Kira’s family’s retreat venue, a restored 700-year-old farm in rural France for six days of rest, creativity and connection. This is an invitation to slow right down and return to what feels nourishing.

Imagine gentle mornings with the smell of warm French bread drifting through the space, yoga beneath wide open skies, and unhurried breakfasts that stretch into conversation. Afternoons are spent creating with our hands, wandering through local nature, markets and the château next door, cooling off in the heated outdoor pool, or finding a quiet corner to read, journal or simply rest. As the days soften into evening, we’ll come together for wholesome shared meals, fireside circles, laughter and long sunsets. It’s a retreat designed to feel like a deep exhale.

Your stay includes five nights in the French countryside, daily yoga and meditation, a personal one-hour tarot session, creative workshops including lino cutting and still life, sharing circles and guided journalling, forest bathing and wild swimming, access to a heated outdoor pool and wood-burning sauna, seasonal vegetarian meals made with care, local wines with dinner, a homemade pizza night in the cob oven, and gentle excursions that help you feel rooted in the place.

Spaces are intentionally limited to 15 guests so the retreat remains intimate, grounding and deeply supportive. A number of private rooms have already been booked, so if you’re thinking of coming with a friend or partner, shared rooms are a lovely option and a beautiful way to experience the week together.

Super Early Bird pricing is available until 31st January 2026, saving you £100 off the full price:
Shared room £899
Private room £999

A £200 deposit secures your place, and payment plans are available.

If this is calling to you, we would love to welcome you. Tap the link to explore the retreat and book your place, or message/email us with any questions.

With love, Kira and Jasmine x
