Situated in the tranquil settings of Patcham, Place Farm House is a 19 bed residential care home for the retired.

The home is at the heart of the local community with many of its residents having resided in the Patcham area for a number of years. Place Farm House has existed as a care home since 1992 and has built strong links with various community and church groups and is an integral part of the local community.

With wet and windy weather over the past few days, we turned this afternoon into a cosy cinema experience! Our residents had a wonderful time enjoying The African Queen on the big screen. 🎬🍿

Today we enjoyed a lovely flower visual quiz, it was wonderful to see everyone getting involved! From recognising favourite blooms to sharing memories of our gardens. A great afternoon had by all. 💐🌸

A lovely creative session today 💛 We enjoyed motion to music using colourful ribbon wands, followed by some delicate cotton bud painting. Smiles, movement, and creativity all around. 🎶🎨

🎉 Happy New Year to all our wonderful friends and family. We spent yesterday in our very own “pub”, playing games, enjoying a nice drink and watching some firework displays on our big screen. We wish you all health and happiness in 2026!

What a lovely festive time we’ve had 🎄 Everyone came together to enjoy breakfast on Christmas morning, sharing smiles and good company. We rounded things off with a big Boxing Day quiz this afternoon, there was lots of laughter and great team work!

🎄✨ Christmas Eve fun at Place Farm House! We rolled the dice, played our favourite board games shared lots of laughs, and even had a very special visit from Father Christmas 🎅 which bought lots of smiles. We’re nearly ready for the BIG day so we would like to wish you all a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year. 🥂

What a wonderful afternoon we have had!
Theo came along with his steelpan, filling the room with joyful music. The residents absolutely loved it. There were smiles, toe-tapping and some residents even had a go on the steelpans themselves! 🎶🥁

Our staff meetings at Christmas are a time for fun, enjoyment & reflection 🥳

James (chef) won residents staff member of the year & thank you to Reg for a great speech recognising this & the wider staff. Ellie won employee of the quarter (as voted by other staff) & is fully deserved 👏🏻 We also celebrated our favourite documented Magical Moments of 2025. A little bit of fun ensued with Karen & Andy having to guess their staff's voices.

We’ve enjoyed a gentle walk to All Saints church, taking in the fresh air and the beautiful surroundings, followed by a cosy afternoon back at home watching a true Christmas classic. 🎄🎬❄️
