Today I had the pleasure of giving massage treatments to the hospital volunteers as part of an event to celebrate their valued contributions to the Princess Royal. One of them has volunteered for 25 years…incredible!

Client today was siezed up and in pain through neck and back. Captured this photo part way through to show the comparison of the right side worked on and left side still solid. Remedial work eases days, months and years of built up tension to improve movement, ease and wellbeing. I truly enjoy my work and love to witness the difference this work does for a person 🙌

I’ve been in the midst of dealing with a flood at home, staying in various temporary homes and packing everything into boxes to move for the last 7 weeks. A welcome change of home incoming next week, and once I’m settled I’ll be back to my plan of offering more massage appointments and even home visits with my incredible new portable table 🙌

Here is me this week at The Princess Royal Hospital giving hand massage to an elderly patient on the dementia ward. My jobs at Worthing and Haywards Heath are incredibly rewarding. It’s an honour to hear life stories from elderly people, some of whom are close to 100 years old, and seeing how the therapies soothe, calm and comfort them.

I’ve been working at the Princess Royal Hospital with very elderly patients (often with dementia) giving hand and face massages with nourishing oils and creams. It’s so nice to see them relax and smile and listen to their stories. As much as the touch is of benefit, they really value the one to one connection ✨

Was great to do some continued professional development with the lovely Indian head massage community this weekend. Was especially on point as I’ve just started work at the princess Royal hospital in Haywards Heath giving hand, foot, face/head massage to an elderly patient ward and also a dementia ward and one of the topics was best practice working with people who have dementia 💆‍♀️ 🙌
