Life Coaching vs. Traditional Therapy: Which actually works?

Many people stay stuck because they are using the wrong tool for their current season of life.

Therapy is absolutely vital for processing past trauma and diagnosing mental health conditions. It is about looking backward to understand your history.

Life Coaching, especially when I use RTT, is about looking forward. It is for when you already know your history, but you are still stuck in burnout or overwhelm. We clear the subconscious block and create an action plan to get you moving again.

I vividly remember sitting in my car at 42, crying before walking into my own home.

The overwhelm was just too much. I was spinning plates, keeping everyone else happy, and feeling completely empty inside. I realized that day that 'coping' wasn't living.

That breakdown was my breakthrough. It forced me to stop managing my stress and start clearing the root cause of it. That is exactly why I became a Transformational Life Coach.

I get why so many people think this! TV and movies make it look like you go to sleep and someone else takes over the steering wheel.

But here is the truth about Rapid Transformational Therapy (RTT): You are in complete control the entire time. You are awake, you are conversing with me, and you can stop at any moment.

Burnout is never just exhaustion. It is always your body's violent rejection of how you are living.

We constantly treat burnout like we just need a good night's sleep. But resting for a weekend won't fix a life where your boundaries are constantly crossed.

Burnout is a signal. It is a warning light on your dashboard telling you that your current way of operating is broken. You don't need a nap, you need a reinvention.

Waiting for the perfect moment, the right bank balance, or the kids to grow up is just high-functioning procrastination disguised as responsibility.

Your subconscious mind loves the familiar, even if the familiar is burning you out. It will always invent a logical reason to stay stuck.

3 self-care practices I wish I knew sooner to combat daily overwhelm:

1. THE BRAIN DUMP
When your mind is racing, your nervous system panics. Write every single task, worry, and idea on paper to clear your mental RAM and regain perspective.

2. THE 5-MINUTE RULE
Procrastination breeds overwhelm. If a task takes less than 5 minutes to complete, do it immediately instead of letting it sit on your mental to-do list.

3. THE HARD STOP
Boundaries are the ultimate self-care. Set a strict time to disconnect from work each day, and treat it with the same respect as a meeting with your most important client.
