We’re incredibly proud to see Sian, who graduated last year from our BTEC Level 6 in Advanced Clinical and Sports Massage, taking her passion for what we do into the world and making a real impact.

Sian was invited to deliver a keynote speech at the World Congress of Mental Health & Psychiatry, speaking on “Beyond a Massage School” Massage & Mental Health: Time, Support & Compassion, Teaching New Generations of Clinical Massage Therapists in Healthcare.

She brought the Jing Method into the room, sharing how a multi modal, biopsychosocial approach to pain, alongside an understanding of central sensitisation, can transform the way we support people living with chronic pain and mental health challenges. She also showcased the breadth of research happening within our community, proudly flying the Jing flag on a global stage.

Sian spoke powerfully about the challenges we face as a profession, from lack of regulation and recognition to being underutilised within healthcare, while also recognising the unique freedom and balance this work can offer. Her message was clear, massage therapy has an important role to play, and together we can be a force for change.

This is exactly what Jing is about, not just training therapists, but empowering them to think clinically, contribute to research, and help shape the future of healthcare.
