We're very happy to announce the opening of a brand new pharmacy at Princess Royal Hospital! 💊🏥

This £1.2 million investment by Pharm@Sea and University Hospitals Sussex will serve thousands of people in Haywards Heath and the surrounding areas, making it the first time a dedicated outpatient pharmacy has operated within the hospital.

Conveniently located near the main entrance of the hospital, the new pharmacy is a game-changer for those attending A&E or outpatient appointments. Plus, patients can seek clinical advice and guidance from one of our expert pharmacists.

A huge thank you to everyone involved in making this happen! 🙌

Today, we formally opened the new Trust Outpatient Pharmacy at The Princess Royal Hospital, Haywards Heath. Guests Ashok Soni (Pharm@Sea Chair), Gerti Kamenica (Pharm@Sea MD), Dr George Findlay (UHSx Chief Executive), Dr Andy Heeps (UHSx Deputy CEO) & Chris Ashcroft (PRH Hospital Director) opened the pharmacy officially.

The new Trust Outpatient Pharmacy at The Princess Royal Hospital in Haywards Heath is now open for patients with white outpatient prescriptions issued by Outpatients, A&E and same day urgent care (SDEC).

We also have a small retail selection of common over the counter medications.

The pharmacy cannot dispense green FP10 prescriptions. These will normally be issued by your GP but occasionally by a hospital doctor too, and these need to be collected from a high street pharmacy.

We can't believe it's November!

This means we've officially entered Flu season.

Whilst we're unable to provide flu jabs this year, we still want to help by keeping you Flu Smart!

Since Lucy joined Pharm@Sea in 2020, she's put her stamp on pretty much all of the pharmacy. Starting as one of our friendly counter staff, she then decided to move into the dispensary. She is leaving us having achieved an NPA accredited Medicines Counter Assistant course, Smoking Cessation Course and an NVQ2 in Dispensing. Doing all this whilst having aced her access course at college.

We're delighted that Lucy has been so inspired by her surroundings and chosen to begin her journey into being a Pharmacist. Whilst we are sad to see her go, we're extremely proud of her and know that she will succeed in anything that comes her way.

Lucy is going to study a MPharm degree, if you've got any tips or knowledge for her, leave it in the comments!
