Are you taking part in the giant gold bow trail?

Here at Clayton Woods, we have been delighted to sponsor a stop on the trial to raise funds and awareness of CCLG: The Children & Young People’s Cancer Association.

If you're heading out to spot all 113 bows, be sure to pay us a visit, take a moment of pause for yourself and your loved ones or have a chat with our friendly team.

We need your thoughts!

We are looking to host a bat/wildlife evening walk later in the year, but want to ask you. Is this something you would like to join?

Give us a like or a heart if we should start making the arrangements 🥰

Clayton Wood is a special place of peace and remembrance, where nature and loved ones are honoured side by side.

To help us care for these natural surroundings, we ask that all dog waste — bagged or not — is taken home or disposed of responsibly. Recently, waste has sadly been left on benches and around the grounds, which is upsetting for families and damaging to the landscape.

We’d love to continue welcoming dogs, but if this continues, we may need to reconsider.

Thank you for helping us protect this beautiful space for all who visit.

The ox-eye daisies are in bloom, and the bees are hard at work in their hives at the top of the meadow. In the distance, the iconic Jack and Jill windmills stand proudly on the South Downs, watching over it all.

Clayton Wood is outshining itself with its beauty! A beautiful place to reflect, unwind and connect with nature.

Our wildflower meadows are full of life, and worth protecting.

At Clayton Wood, we leave our grasslands to grow freely to support local biodiversity. But with warm, dry weather comes an increased wildfire risk.

To help safeguard the grounds, please:
🌾 Recycle glass safely & ensure glass items arent left on memorials
🌾 Fully extinguish ci******es
🌾 Dispose of rubbish in the bins provided

In the event of a fire, call 999 immediately and inform one of our team.

Thank you for helping us care for nature, our visitors, and this special place. 🌿

Over the weekend, we had the absolute joy of seeing something truly special: our resident Canada geese have welcomed seven tiny, fluffy goslings into the world!

The proud parents have been gently guiding their new arrivals around the ponds, and it’s been such a heartwarming sight for everyone here.

Spring at Clayton Wood always feels special, but moments like this bring it to life in the most touching way. New beginnings, peaceful surroundings, and the gentle rhythm of nature carrying on are what make this place so unique.

If you're visiting soon, keep your eyes peeled; you might just catch the newest members of our little wildlife family exploring their home.

Nature never ceases to amaze! Today, we spotted a duck nestled under a memorial plaque, carefully guarding a single egg. It’s a gentle reminder of life's quiet moments and the delicate balance of nature surrounding us.

The peaceful setting of Clayton Wood offers a sanctuary for both wildlife and reflection. We're so grateful to witness this special moment of new beginnings.

As the seasons turn, Clayton Wood bursts into life once more.

The Canada geese have returned to our pond, and are happily calling it home! Spring flowers bloom across the grounds, while the trees begin paint soft green leaves and bursts of blossom across our horizon. Dont you think this gentle colour to the landscape makes the grounds feel alive?

Spring is a time of renewal, a reminder of nature’s endless cycle. If you're visiting, take a moment to pause, breathe in the fresh air, and enjoy the beauty of the season unfolding around you.

If you have any memories or photos of the seasonal changes at Clayton Wood share them in the comments, we love to see them🌷🦢🌳🌸
