Hypermobility used to feel like a super power, or a party trick… until it didn’t.

My personal Pilates journey at the age of 12, grew from my hypermobility. For me, being hypermobile means instability, my joints feel loose, and never really feeling supported in my own body. Lifting a pan for example, sometimes feels like my wrist will just click out of place. I NEED strength, control, and awareness.

That’s where classical Pilates changed everything for me. I started in my training in contemporary Pilates but it wasn’t till I found classical that things really shifted for me in my body.

Instead of pushing range, it taught me how to stabilise it against the spring.

Instead of hanging in my joints, I learned how to support them and resist.

Over time, my body felt stronger, more connected, and far more reliable.

If you’re hypermobile, you don’t need more flexibility, you need strength in the right places, awareness and a trainer who understands.

Classical Pilates was an absolute game changer for me.

Think Reformer is the whole story?

In classical Pilates, every piece of apparatus has a purpose. Nothing is random. Nothing is decorative. Each one challenges your body in a specific way building strength, precision and control through the full system.

Here’s what each piece is really for:

✨ Reformer = Integration & Flow
The moving carriage exposes imbalances instantly. It builds full-body strength, coordination and control while teaching you how to stabilise against resistance. It’s dynamic, humbling and incredibly effective for a full body workout.

✨ Mat = Control
The original work. No springs. No assistance. Just you against gravity. The Mat demands deep core strength, stamina and precision. If you can control your body here, you truly own the work.

✨ Cadillac/Tower = Strength + Support
Looks intimidating, but it’s one of the most versatile pieces. The springs both assist and challenge, making it brilliant for deep core activation, shoulder stability, spinal articulation and controlled inversions. Strength with intelligence.

✨ Wunda Chair = Power + Precision
Small but mighty. The Chair demands focus and control. It builds serious leg strength, pelvic stability and upper-body power while forcing you to move with exactness. There’s nowhere to hide.

✨ Barrels (Spine Corrector, Ladder Barrel, small barrel) = Precision
Barrels open the front body, strengthen the back line and improve spinal articulation. They teach you how to lengthen while staying connected. Refine posture and deepen awareness.

✨ Small Apparatus (Magic Circle, Foot Corrector, Toe Corrector) = Detail Work

🫶🏽To our clients: you show up with courage, commitment, and a willingness to grow. Watching you build strength, confidence, and connection to your bodies is the greatest privilege.

Pilates is more than movement. It’s a space where we can focus in, where encouragement replaces comparison, and where strength is built from the inside out. Every class is a reminder that when we lift each other up, incredible things happen.

Today we celebrate the resilience, wisdom, and kindness that each of you brings into this space. Thank you for being part of a community that values strength, grace, and growth.
