Mamma’s Scrapbook | Wyld Mothers Fire | Whitehawk | Tuesday 17th March, 10.00 – 12.00.

We thought this week we'll make some Wyld pesto together with 3 cornered leeks as we have some from my allotment, as 'tis the season!

We can get together and play with our senses with some bounty from the land and maybe have a little play with some stories we may have about any memories these plants evoke, or recipes we can share.

Next week, we will play with some natural dyes, so keep your onion skins for next week!

Mamma’s Scrapbook | Wyld Mothers Fire | Whitehawk | Tuesday 16th December, 10.00 – 12.00

What a cosy session in the woods we had last week.

This week the weather is looking kinder. We plan to be back in our cosy woodland spot for the final sesh of 2025 before coming back in the spring.

As solstice is upon us, we thought it may be nice to start with a winter meditation.

We will also bring something warm to eat and perhaps we can make a chai together to engage with our taste buds as part of our sensory journey.

As we are approaching the festive season, it can also be a time where we can become depleted, especially when we spend a lot of time taking care of others. I thought a nice writing activity could be an a-z of self care from the maternal journal, so we can make some time for that too.

As always, writing, sharing and making is an invitation, no pressure to do any of these if you need to come and just be.

As a final thought, we will open our circle with an introduction and gratitude, but we would love to hear if anyone has and idea of an icebreaker prompt.

Mamma’s Scrapbook | Wyld Mothers Fire | Whitehawk |Tuesday 9th December, 10.00 – 12.00

We may be in the woods tomorrow due to weather, which is a bit cosier then the usual spot. If you go right instead of left on the track when you reach where the usual fire pit is, you will see us just a little way down in the woods just past the pond. We will hang bunting and make ourselves visible.

This week we will have a play with our visual senses and engage in a bit of Hapezome (leaf printing). We will bring fabric and some plants and hammers to make some pigment prints with them. If you would like to bring a plant, leaf or flower to try out, please do.

We will also weave some more storytelling into this practice. Being in nature together and engaging with each other, ourselves, our creativity and nature, often reveals story by itself. This is what Mamma's scrapbook is about; Noticing and celebrating the stories that happen randomly. We build in these little writing prompts, just to try to capture a glimpse of these.

A writing prompt for tomorrow is 'What plant are you today and why?'.

This week we will be doing some grounding work with clay to get into our senses along with a couple of the bite size writing prompts.

Mamma’s Scrapbook | Wyld Mothers Fire | Whitehawk | Tuesday 25th November, 10.00 – 12.00

It can still be chilly around the fire, so gentle reminder for layers and waterproofs! We want you to be nice and toasty warm x

This week we will be doing some grounding work with clay to get into our senses along with a couple of the bite size writing prompts.

One to think about for tomorrow: what element are you today and why?

This can be broad, air, fire, earth, water. Or more specific, wind, metal etc. Whatever feels right for you. We will add that to our little ice breaker circle at the beginning.
