Marc is a Yoga Elder and founder with Abigail Peck of the unique AcquaViva School of Yoga. Marc Woolford is established as one of the leading lights of 'Scaravelli inspired' yoga and has been running workshops retreats and tr

aining courses around the world for over 15 years. As well as co-founding Acquaviva School of Yoga, she also completed the training under Marc's tuition and continues her apprenticeship as assistant teacher of the trainings and co-developer of the school. She also co-ordinates inclusion of returning students to the school who contribute to teaching and nurturing of everyone, students and teachers alike. Marc works with an an informal but deeply informative approach to yoga that invites direct personal exploration and a steadfast awareness of relationships between inner and outer worlds...The approach is radical because attention is placed more in 'Creating the Conditions' that will lead directly to the experience of Yoga (in the approach to any posture) rather than obsessing about achieving particular postures... This makes all postures available to anyone, each one a fascinating puzzle to unravel through an intense principle-based application of non-violent natural patterning in movement and support that honours the way the natural human being would move if free of all historic injury and misconception... The approach is transformational and offers the very real possibility of liberation from life long holding patterns and/or injuries. At the centre of Marc's work is an understanding of the precise Conditions that allow for this direct experience, and he is renowned for his skill at guiding people towards that experience, as well as offering practical, common sense explanations of what is occurring and why for those interested in the information. His work is appropriate for all levels of experience from curious beginner to dedicated practitioner/teacher. Marc offers mostly private tuition (apart from teacher training courses and retreats) either in person (near Brighton and Hove) or online via SKYPE for those that wish to develop depth and clarity in practice, but live in other areas. I am taking the next few weeks off to spend time in nature, develop my yoga practice and have rare time with Abigail when neither of us are working or studying!

If you are a Platinum or Gold member, please book in and take up your 121 sessions over the July and August. I'm happy to coordinate an extra 121 session to make up for the Saturday workshops. They work best if you bring something you are working on from your own practice or a question and I can give you very specific guidance to take you to the next level in your practice.

You might have noticed some changes across our websites and social media. We are using our summer downtime to reflect on our core values, motivations and to streamline our branding. We want to inspire people who align with our ideals of accessible, empowering health care that brings joy and fulfilment within the rhythms of nature.

There’s lots new around the corner, as well as the Saturday workshops resuming in September, monthly Sundays at Twickenham in-person will return, a brand new treatment space will open by Hove Station, the garden yoga space will reopen, Kemptown treatments and new treatment offerings once Abigail finishes her dissertation, so watch this space!
