Hi Clients
Massage Therapists were given permission by the Government and their PA's to go back to work from the 13th of July. I didn't immediately do this as I wanted to be certain that I would be implementing the very best Covid19 mitigation procedures. I will be ready to begin treating from this Sunday the 26th of July

Dear Clients,

On Wednesday 18th of March 2020 I made the decision to suspend treating in regards to the Coronavirus2019 pandemic. I came to this decision with a heavy heart because I really do hate to let you down as you seek treatment for many reasons and often due to pain. I had deliberated over this for some time but my priority has to be the safety of my family and you and yours.

On the following day, Thursday 19th of March, I received guidance from the Sports Massage Association (SMA) which confirmed that I had made the correct decision in line with their directive (copied in part below). I will post here when I resume treating again. I wish you and your loved ones good health at this very difficult time.

Dear Keith Turner,
The rate of infection and the death toll from Coronavirus continues to rise at an alarming rate in the UK and across Europe. There is no doubt that we are and will be on a war-time footing to deal with this crisis. It is incumbent upon us all to do the right thing for ourselves and our fellow citizens.
We have to date left decisions about whether or not to continue to trade at your own discretion based on Government guidelines. Unfortunately the guidelines are grey in our area of practice, leaving us all damned if we do and damned if we don't. Ultimately, we at the SMA can no longer reconcile Government advice on social distancing with the continued provision of massage services and indeed all therapies that involve touch and close proximity.
It is with great regret and with a full understanding of the potential financial consequences for many of you that we advise, unequivocally, the immediate shut down of your practices.
If we do the right things this will pass and we can return to the work we love sooner rather than later.

TOUCHWISE MASSAGE

I'm Keith and I treat clients privately at my home in Brighton for a multitude of problems. For more than five years I have been treating on a regular basis at the Martlets Hospice. I help alleviate physical and emotional pain and discomfort for the terminally ill and their carers which is a wonderfully rewarding experience and such a privilege for me.

I am absolutely passionate in helping people by the application of massage. Please see below a selection of the kind of issues I can treat for. I encourage my clients to see me at my home where I have a treatment room. This means that I can keep the cost of the treatments down and that more people can afford to be treated and those who require follow up or regular treatments can afford to come back. it can take from one to six treatments to resolve most injuries.

If you rather I treat you within a community setting I can of course do this but it will cost you more. The community setting that I use for this is The Crew Club. There will be an additional charge of £10 due to overheads for The Crew Club. My home is located close to Brighton Race Course. The treatments will be the same whatever location you choose.

With my qualifications, and therefore the knowledge of a range of Massage Therapies and years of experience in treating clients presenting with a wide variety of soft tissue injuries and acute and chronic conditions means that I can apply massage Therapy for such reasons as listed below:

In order to reduce pain suffered, due to such Pathologies as:
Osteoarthritis, Osteoporosis, Motor-Neuron disease, Parkinson's, Multiple Sclerosis, skeletal irregularities, Whiplash, DeQuervain's Thumb, Carpal Tunnel Syndrome, etc.

In Order To Assist athletes or those involved in sport and physical activity in such ways as to:
Maximize the performance of the athlete for training or competition.
Reduce the likelihood of injury.
Rehabilitate an athlete who is injured.
This includes the breaking down of scar tissue and adhesions,
The locating and elimination of trigger points, etc.
In order to alleviate many Acute or Chronic problems such as:
Nerve Impingement (Piriformus Syndrome), Entrapment of superior gluteal nerve, restricted movement (Frozen Shoulder), RSI, Tennis Elbow, ITBFS, SIJ Dysfunction, Neck, shoulder and back issues, etc.

In order to promote:
Relaxation, A sense Of Serenity, Stimulate the skins natural functions,
Ease muscular strain,
Assist the removal of toxins from the body,
Improve the bloods circulation,
Stimulate the nervous system
Reduce emotional and physical stress.
To achieve the desired outcome an array of assessment and treatment techniques can be applied.

Prices below are for a 60 minute treatment including consultation at my home:
£30.00. Standard Price
£20.00, If you are a carer and hold a Brighton and Hove Carers' Card.

Please Note: I am totally blind and have a beautiful friendly Guide Dog named Eva. If for any reason you would rather not have Eva in the treatment room or have any contact with her then just make me aware of this and I will ensure your wishes are respected.
