We're extremely excited and honoured to announce that we will be hosting a talk by none other than esteemed Prof. David Nutt in collaboration with Drug Science on 22nd May at Jubilee Large Lecture Theatre! Doors open 6.30pm. He will be discussing how the half-century ban on psychedelics has been a most egregious, concerted censorship effort with widespread sociopolitical implications - a really crucial and critical analysis to widen the hearts and minds of the public to this controversial subject indeed. Please do get your tickets at https://www.eventbrite.co.uk/e/the-50-year-ban-on-psychedelics-an-evening-with-prof-david-nutt-tickets-865667965187?aff=oddtdtcreator to see this greatly influential and phenomenal man speak in person! 🌟

Prof David Nutt presents a talk with Q&A on the history of psychedelic drug policy and how healthcare has become a political issue.

On the 10th march we are collaborating with Brighton Psychedelics to bring professionals on psychedelic support to campus. This is a warm welcoming circle for you to share with others, to be heard and receive support if requested. Exploring the unfolding potential of EMDR as a trauma-focused, scalable, memory consolidation approach to psychedelic healing.

Jocelyn holds a private therapy and supervision practice, alongside her role as a research therapist on the DMT and 5MEO-DMT psychedelic-assisted therapy clinical research trials. Incredible fundraiser for an incredible charity!

Friday sees the OFFICIAL LAUNCH of PsyCare’s first ever crowdfunding campaign! 🎊 But this is fundraising with a difference… 👇🏽

Instead of just donating to the charity, you’ll be able to choose from a wide range of special prizes sourced from some generous and talented collaborators, including:

🔸 Festival tickets
🔹 Visionary and psychedelic artwork
🔸 Retreats and experiences
🔹 A series of talks on psychedelic science and culture
🔸 Some very special vinyl LPs from Shpongle
🔹 PsyCare merchandise
🔸 Signed books

✨ Why a fundraiser? Why now? ✨

PsyCare UK is:

• A grassroots charity
• Relying on volunteer-led peer support
• Growing year-on-year…

To keep doing what we’re doing (helping as many people as possible through challenging experiences at festivals) we have to cover our core costs and allow for development as an organisation.

We also hope to spread our services beyond festivals to reach a wider audience through drug awareness, harm reduction and integration circles.

✨ How can I get involved? ✨

Once the campaign goes live, you’ll be able to buy prizes and raffle tickets, donate, and get more info directly via our website or the link in our bio 👆🏼

For now: spread the word and keep an eye out as we start to reveal the prizes! 👀

Our Story

After decades of misinformation, and outlawing on political as opposed to scientific grounds, the potential of these substances is starting to be recognised again. The society has been created and exists to reinstate the academic understanding of psychedelics, as well as providing an open, welcoming space and a forum for conversation to take place for students. The topic of these substances remained stigmatised for many years, and along with that, has prevented individuals, especially the youth from speaking out on both their sometimes negative, as well as their positive experiences with the fear of being judged by their peers. Providing the safe space required for these open discussions to happen on campus, the society will ensure proper harm reduction, and a place where we can freely investigate the true healing potential of these substances.
