/ Time to wander, get lost and uncover the magic of the red city... ✨

One of the things I love most about Marrakech (and why my soul feels so at home here) is the medina. It’s full of life, colour and hidden treasures around every corner.

On my last retreat, guests flew home with rugs, ceramics, shoes, jewellery (and even a few extra bags to carry it all!). I somehow ended up with handmade chairs…no regrets 😅

You’ll have plenty of time to explore at your own pace (if you so wish), soak up the sights and discover pieces you’ll treasure. Just a heads up...you might want to pack an extra bag. Trust me, the souks will pull you in! 💃

Let’s clear up the Vitamin A confusion.
You’re seeing words like “retinol,” “retinal,” and “tretinoin” on every shelf and subscription box — but most of what’s sold is either weak, unstable, or pure marketing hype. So of course I’m here to clear it all up for you. It’s mine field; right?

Here’s the truth: Vitamin A is one of the most effective ingredients for skin health and ageing. But the type you use makes all the difference.

Retinyl esters – the weakest form. Often found in “Vit A enriched” high street products. Not doing much.

Retinol – two steps away from active form. Slower, but a starting point.

Retinal (retinaldehyde) – one step from active form. 11x faster than retinol. Powerful, stable, and acne-friendly.

Retinoic acid (tretinoin) – already active. Prescription-only. Fast, but often harsh, drying and hard to tolerate.

So why do I use and recommend retinAl?
Because it works. It delivers clinical results without the irritation that often comes with tretinoin. And in most subscription brands and beauty boxes, what’s labelled as “tretinoin” is usually too low-grade to matter — or isn’t true tretinoin at all. Don’t let the buzzwords fool you. True Tretinonin is prescription only & is so spicy it’s not worth messing up your skin health or barrier for. No need to rush these things, killing yourself on a treadmill isn’t going to get you fit in a few months.

One product I trust: Medik8 r-Retinoate Intense — a patented formula combining retinal + retinyl retinoate. It’s 8x more effective than retinol and proven to be well tolerated. There’s no other product on the market like this, they have developed a molecule that mimics retonic acid (tretinoin) but made it stable. In 4 weeks my skin is transformed with this product but continues to work and in years to come it will still be awesome. Generally though, Crystal Retinal is my go-to for majority of clients.

If you know me, you know I love skin but I also really love interiors. My clinic is more than just a treatment room; it’s a space designed to make you feel calm and deeply relaxed. It’s filled with treasures I’ve brought back from Marrakech and I truly believe the spaces we’re in shape how we feel...that’s why I chose as the home for my next retreat.✨

We’ll be a small group (just 5–10 of us), making space for true connection and plenty of pause. Whether you’re coming solo or with a friend, you’ll have the option of your own private room or a shared space, whatever feels best for you.
