Rest Refuge Yoga Classes will be back on Weds 26 February

Book online or in studio: https://bookwhen.com/seasonalflow

Next term we have a 6 week series of classes to honour the transition from late winter to early Spring. Each class will have a “check in” sequence, followed by a pranayama practise and longer held restorative poses, ending with a Yoga Nidra written specifically for each class:

Week 1 (26 Feb): Stillness Awakening

Week 2 (5 March): Gentle Unfolding

Week 3 (12 March): Signs of Spring

Week 4 (19 March): Soft Expansion

Week 5 (26 March) Flowing into Ease

Week 6 (2 April): Resting in Renewal

This series of chair yoga is to support alignment with the seasons as the wheel of the year turns.

Chair yoga can be a lovely way to mindfully connect the body, mind and spirit through gentle movement and breath.

You don't need lots of space, or to get down on the floor; you just need a sturdy chair and a mindful curiosity.

This one is for anyone who needs reminding that we can always access our own inner peace, and find comfort in our own hearts.

We'll release fear in gentle seated twists and forward folds.
We'll open our hearts and find strength in sphinx.
We'll settle our attention inwards in our child's pose to allow space for inner processing and reflection.
We'll find comfort in the experience of connecting with our inner peace; and recalling our power.

Remember, no matter how far you feel from settled or peaceful, part of our consciousness always abides amongst those fellow souls with whom we connect instinctively, in safety, no matter the distance in space or time.

We are held by the rhythms of the seasons, the sun, the moon, the elements and the gifts of our body, mind, spirit and breath.

This one is for you.

May your flame be bright and warm.
Our inner peace is our power.
