International Women's Day is a global holiday celebrated annually on March 8 as a focal point in the women's rights movement, bringing attention to issues such as gender equality, reproductive rights, and violence and abuse against women.

The clue here is in the word 'Chronic'. Most people I see in my clinic may have pain to which I am seeking to help them find a solution.
However, with some chronic pain patients there can be neurological changes that can be harder to manage, and understanding what management options there are is key to trying to achieve a positive outcome.

A lesser talked about Indicator For a Stroke

Tongue deviation

Sometimes symptoms of a stroke are difficult to identify. Unfortunately, the lack of awareness spells disaster. The stroke victim may suffer severe brain damage when people nearby fail to recognize the symptoms of a stroke.

Now doctors say a bystander can recognise a stroke by asking three simple questions:

S *Ask the individual to SMILE.

T *Ask the person to TALK and SPEAK A SIMPLE SENTENCE (Coherently)

(i.e. Chicken Soup)

R *Ask him or her to RAISE BOTH ARMS.

If he or she has trouble with ANY ONE of these tasks, call emergency number immediately and describe the symptoms to the dispatcher.

NOTE: Another 'sign' of a stroke is this: Ask the person to 'stick' out their tongue. If the tongue is 'crooked', if it goes to one side or the other that is also an indication of a stroke. Called 'tongue deviation'.

A cardiologist says if everyone shares this information to 10 people; you can bet that at least one life will be saved.
