❤️ National Heart Month ❤️

As we come to the end of the first week of National Heart Month this February, I wanted to share a member success story from one of our Thursday morning members.

Harry joined Slimming World after a diabetes check up discovered an abnormal heart rhythm, which lead to a diagnosis of Heart Atrial Fibrillation. His consultant explained that losing weight could help reduce his risk of heart failure and as his wife, Julie, was already a Slimming World member - he decided to join too.

With the support of Julie, his consultants and fellow group members in our weekly support sessions - Harry lost over 5stone! ✨

More than 6years on, he’s maintaining his weight loss as a committed member of the group, supporting others and proving that by embracing and changing eating habits as a way of life, truly can be life saving.

This National Heart Month, it’s a reminder that small, sustainable changes to how we eat and live can have a huge impact on our hearts ♥️

We had a great morning discussing our excitement around the new additions for the Slimming World plan in January and planning for between now and then - what are everyone’s goals for the month of October and beyond to the end of the year? What things we can do to really continue to see the results we would love?! Can’t wait to see our evening members now too and support them 🥰
