There’s something really special about arts and crafts in a care home.

Our residents have been getting creative, making their own colourful designs and bringing plenty of personality to each piece. But it’s about so much more than just the finished result.

Arts and crafts play such an important role in wellbeing. They encourage creativity, support fine motor skills, spark conversation and, most importantly, create moments of calm, joy and achievement. You can see the pride on faces when something is finished, and the laughter that comes along the way is just as important.

These sessions give everyone the chance to express themselves, reminisce, and simply enjoy being in the moment together.

And as you can see… the smiles say it all 😊

There’s been plenty of laughter around Trymview Hall this past week… and moments like these are exactly what it’s all about 💜

From music filling the room and getting everyone tapping along, to creative sessions, games that brought out a competitive edge, and even a few cheeky moments that had us all smiling… it’s been a week full of energy, personality and connection.

What really stands out isn’t just the activities themselves, it’s the reactions. The smiles, the focus, the laughter and those little moments where everyone is just completely in it, enjoying themselves.

Whether it’s singing into a microphone, getting stuck into something creative, or simply sharing a coffee and a chat, every moment plays a part in creating a home that feels full of life.

And judging by these photos… I think it’s safe to say we’ve had a very good week 😊

Spring has truly arrived at Trymview Hall 🌸💜

Our gardens are looking absolutely beautiful, with vibrant colours, fresh blooms and plenty of peaceful spaces to enjoy. From our herb planters to the colourful flowers and open green spaces, there’s something special around every corner.

Over the past few weeks, it’s been wonderful to see our residents getting outside more, enjoying the sunshine, stretching their legs and taking in the fresh air. Whether it’s a gentle stroll, a chat in the garden, or simply sitting and soaking up the warmth, these moments make such a difference.

Spending time outdoors isn’t just enjoyable, it supports wellbeing, encourages movement and helps lift mood, especially as the seasons change.

Here’s to more sunny days, fresh air and making the most of our beautiful surroundings ☀️

What a beautiful way to spend a spring day… ☀️💜

Our residents enjoyed a wonderful trip to Wolfridge Alpaca Barn in Alveston, and with temperatures reaching 20 degrees, it couldn’t have been more perfect!

There were plenty of smiles, lots of fresh air and of course… some very friendly (and very fluffy!) alpacas 🦙

Days like this are so important. Getting out into the community, enjoying the sunshine and creating special moments together is what it’s all about.

A big thank you to everyone at Wolfridge Alpaca Barn for such a warm welcome and a truly memorable visit.

Safe to say… the alpacas were a big hit! 😊

Rounding off an action-packed Easter weekend in the best way… keeping moving with Nick the Physio 💪💜

There were smiles, a few competitive moments (of course!), and plenty of encouragement as our residents got involved in this week’s physio session.

At Trymview Hall, it’s not just about staying active, it’s about building confidence, maintaining independence and most importantly, enjoying every moment along the way.

A big thank you to Nick for bringing the energy and making every session engaging, inclusive and fun for everyone involved.

Who says exercise can’t come with a smile? 😊

With Easter just around the corner, what better way to get into the spirit than by creating our very own decorations ready for the big Easter egg hunt this weekend 🐣💜

Today was full of smiles, a few very serious concentration faces 👀🎨, and plenty of creativity as our residents got stuck into painting, designing and bringing their ideas to life.

From bright colours to some brilliant Easter characters, the effort and attention to detail has been amazing to see… and we can’t wait to showcase all of their fantastic work over the weekend.

✨ Making wishes come true ✨

One of the most special parts of life here at Trymview Hall is helping our residents continue to do the things they love… and sometimes, that means bringing a little bit of the past back to life 💜

This week, we had the pleasure of supporting one of our lovely residents to fulfil a very personal wish; To spend time around horses again, something that meant so much to her in her younger years.

Seeing her reconnect, gently stroking the horse, smiling and soaking up the moment… it’s hard to put into words just how special it was 🐴✨

These are the moments that remind us why we do what we do. It’s not just about care, it’s about living well, holding onto passions, and creating new memories at every stage of life.

A huge thank you to everyone at Kingsweston Stables for making this possible. Your kindness and support truly made a difference 💜

What a beautiful day here at Trymview Hall ☀️💛

We had the absolute pleasure of welcoming the lovely children from Badock’s Wood Primary School into the home for a very special Easter visit… and safe to say, there were smiles everywhere you looked!

From our Easter egg hunt (which brought out everyone’s competitive side 👀🐣), to some brilliant Easter painting, and even the gifting of bright, cheerful daffodils… it was one of those days that just felt really special.

There’s something incredibly powerful about bringing generations together like this. Watching our residents light up, sharing laughs, stories, and simple moments with the children… it’s what it’s all about.

Moments like these don’t just brighten a day, they stay with you 💛

A huge thank you to the children and staff from Badock’s Wood for bringing so much energy, kindness and joy into the home. You made a lot of people very happy today.

Dancing really is good for the soul 💃🕺

At a recent birthday celebration at Trymview Hall, the music was on and the dance floor quickly filled up. There’s something special about those moments, hands held, familiar songs playing, and everyone just enjoying themselves.

It’s not just about the party. Moving to music, sharing a laugh and celebrating together all play such an important part in wellbeing. Days like this bring energy, connection and plenty of smiles.

A lovely reminder that you’re never too old for a dance. 💛

With Valentine’s Day upon us, it felt only right to get into the spirit with a bit of baking ❤️

Over on Willow, the dining room was busy with rolling pins and plenty of laughter as heart-shaped shortbread was made. There’s something about baking together that brings everyone round the table and gets the conversation flowing.

From the smiles on their faces, it’s safe to say they were a hit… and we can confirm they taste just as good as they look! 🍪💕

Out for coffee and a catch-up ☕💛

A lovely little trip out to a local coffee shop today from Trymview Hall in Bristol. Fresh air, a change of scenery and a proper cup of coffee always go down well, especially with a biscuit on the side!

Trips like this are about so much more than just coffee. Staying connected to the community, keeping routines familiar and enjoying everyday moments all make such a difference. The smiles around the table said it all ☕✨
