Our Code Red Training approach is based around 'describe, demonstrate, do...then do again under stress'.
By gradually ramping up the pressure in a safe but realistic learning environment, we increase candidate bandwidth, knowledge retention, confidence and competence to effectively deal with life threatening situations for real.
RTACC is a dynamic, engaging and effective three-day course developed by leading healthcare professionals for pre-hospital care providers. Ideal for ambulance staff, firefighters, police medics and authorised fi****ms officers, offshore medics, event medics and industry personnel.
RTACC courses supplement theoretical lessons with practical and immersive scenarios using moulage, high-fidelity prosthetics and live casualties. Our actors will bleed, scream, faint and may even fight back as you assess and treat their time critical injuries. You will see it, feel it and deal with it.
This realistic and hands-on approach is designed to give learners confidence to deal with life threatening situations and optimise knowledge retention to improve patient outcomes.
RTACC is a QNUK accredited course and complies with the Faculty of Pre-hospital Care (FPHC), Pre-hospital Emergency Medicine (PHEM) guidelines level E of The Royal College of Surgeons Edinburgh. This qualification is valid for three years.
Candidates should complete an annual one-day refresher course (online and included in price) and retake the initial qualification before certificate expiry to remain qualified.
