Join us in Wick for some nurturing movement with your little one!
NEXT TERM BEGINS WEDNESDAY 5th NOVEMBER 10am – 11.15am
These classes are perfect from 6/8 weeks after a vaginal/Caesarean birth, right up until your baby is on the move. Safely building strength from within, focusing on pelvic floor and deep core strength, I’ll help you to:
- get back in your body and heal after birth
- feel stronger and have more energy
- ease achy shoulders, neck and back
- develop a grounded sense of wellbeing
- recharge after sleepless nights
- and have fun with your baby!

Postnatal yoga is a lovely way to build precious new friendships, and to give yourself 75 minutes of compassionate, rejuvenating care. Classes are held in my garden studio in Wick, and you’re welcome to stay on in the studio afterwards to chat with other mums – I’ll make you a cuppa!
The next six week term begins on 5TH November, but if you’re not ready to start then, simply send me an email at mary.hillyard@lushtums.co.uk and I’ll help you to book in for the remaining sessions, if space permits. Pop on to https://www.lushtums.co.uk/bath to find out more or to book yourself in. We’d love to welcome you and your baby, just as you are!

Pregnancy Yoga and Women’s Yoga also available.

Feeling full of love for my yoga communities!

This particular group of mums met weekly during their pregnancy yoga classes, and then came back for postnatal yoga with their gorgeous babies early in 2025. This year it's been a privilege to help them regain strength, ease away stiffness and find deep relaxation. Naturally, I've made maximum use of opportunities to cuddle the little ones, and everyone has become adept at interpreting verbal cues and one-armed demonstrations! In recent months there's been more laughter than ever, plenty of songs and bubble blowing, and somehow the mums have packed in a full length yoga class with no need to break for feeds any more. After class everyone stays for a cuppa and I hope the friendships they've formed with each other will last a lifetime.

Of the many reasons to begin or expand a family, perhaps add attendance of LushTums Bath Pregnancy and Postnatal Yoga Classes to the list?!

Pregnancy Yoga & Birth Preparation Classes on Mondays 7 – 8.15pm
Garden Studio, Wick

A yoga class specifically for pregnancy offers huge benefits, both physical and mental. Not least of these is the chance to grow precious friendships in a kind and supportive space. Each class begins with the opportunity for every woman to share how she’s feeling – to chat about her latest pregnancy aches or ailments, to seek reassurance from peers, to let us know about her recent scan, or to bounce around ideas about birth preferences. There’s the option to be part of a class WhatsApp group too, so you can make plans to meet for a coffee.

Then we spend an hour or so enjoying nurturing movement and breathwork to soothe anxieties, release aches and pains, gently build strength and maintain good posture. We learn a whole host of useful tools for birthing. And I’m able to help you address common pregnancy ailments such as backache, hip/pelvis discomfort, sciatica, heartburn, cramps, restless legs, carpal tunnel syndrome and so on.

Each class finishes with a blissful yoga nidra – a guided relaxation to take you into deep, deep rest. There are lots of cushions and blankets to get you comfy, flickering candlelight, and a soothing rotation of consciousness round the body. It’s incredibly good for you and for your baby, and you’ll feel super relaxed by the end – ready for a beautiful night’s sleep!

Classes are suitable from the 15th week of pregnancy. Book a single class as and when you can make it, or enjoy discounted 5- or 10-week blocks. New Client Offer of 3 classes for the price of 2. You will be so welcome! You can find all the details and make a booking at https://www.lushtums.co.uk/bath

Yoga, Rebozo & Biomechanics for Birth Workshop
for mums-to-be and their birth partners

Did you know that the behaviour and confidence of your birth partner could influence the outcome of your birth?

This workshop is the missing piece in the birth prep jigsaw! 3.5 hours packed with hands-on learning so your birth partner feels like they’ve had a mini doula training. Instead of feeling overwhelmed, or like a spare part, they'll understand their pivotal role in protecting your birthing space and your headspace. You’ll both feel better prepared for your big day – and it really might be the best day of your lives!

We include:
- breathing techniques for coping during contractions, for resting between contractions, for pushing and for panting (to reduce likelihood of tearing)
- movements & positions to try for all stages of labour
- navigating transition
- key biomechanics techniques to help make extra space in the pelvis, & restart a stalled labour
- massage techniques your partner can use to ease pain
- rebozo techniques for releasing tension and discomfort (a rebozo is a traditional Mexican shawl used by midwives to support birthing women)
- powerful visualization & relaxation techniques to keep you in the magical liminal headspace you need!

Randomized controlled trials show that learning these tools reduces use of epidural and Caesarean.*

Sunday 23rd November 2 – 5.30pm
Garden Studio, Wick (full address provided on booking; parking available)
£75 per couple, including teas and snacks - we'll take a quick break, giving you the chance to chat and get to know each other
WhatsApp group to put you all in touch
Limited to 5 couples

Women’s Yoga on Wednesdays 7.30 – 8.45pm
A couple of spaces are available in this friendly & welcoming group

These classes are ideal whether you are new to yoga or you already have a regular practice, and all ages are welcome. In a gentle blend of playful flow, juicy stretching and restorative stillness we take time to connect inwards and cultivate awareness. We move mindfully; build strength; relieve achy shoulders and tired backs; fight fatigue; reduce stress; relax and recharge; and improve sleep. We finish each class with a long, restorative yoga nidra, supported with bolsters and cushions. My aim is to send everyone home feeling absolutely lovely!

Classes are held in my beautiful garden studio in Wick. The next 6-week term begins on 26th February. You can find further details at https://www.lushtums.co.uk/bath, or get in touch at mary.hillyard@lushtums.co.uk

I look forward to welcoming you!
Mary x
