Welcome to AbleCare Homes page! We are a fourth generation award winning family run company offering small boutique care homes in your neighbourhood.

Get your updates here on things going on in our six care homes such as entertainment and activities, events, minibus trips and days out, updates on maintenance work and refurbishment and so on! AbleCare Homes is a group of six care homes based across Bristol and South Gloucestershire offering residential care to local people provided by local people. We provide care for older people, people with d

ementia and individuals who need a period of intensive support prior to moving into more independent living. Excellent meals are cooked by our in-house chefs, activities are stimulating and fun, care is provided by professional Care Assistants. We work to Covid-19 safe practices and have excellent infection control. Long term care, short breaks for family holidays and carer breaks, recuperation stays after illness can all be arranged.

Barry always has residents and colleagues' best interest at heart, making a positive difference every day ✨

On top of this, Barry also received his long service award that reflects his ongoing commitment and hard work. Congratulations, Barry, and thank you for everything you do! 🏆🎉

Sunshine's rolling in and at Ablecare Homes, our summer activities are in full swing! 🌤️🌻

Firstly, residents at Frenchay House had a lovely afternoon with entertainment from Frankie Jones where they enjoyed music, dancing and singing along! They also made the most of the beautiful weather by relaxing outside, chatting over tea, and enjoying a game of football ⚽

Then at Hengrove Lodge, residents enjoyed a fun game of 'Guess the Flavour' with an assortment of tasty treats. We also made some chocolate cherry shake which was very loved!

At Belvedere Lodge, we had a fantastic summer party with amazing food and fun chit chat! The residents enjoyed celebrating the summer season! ☀️

Crossley House had their own baking club where they baked delicious rock cakes. This went down very well with residents, eating it alongside their tea 🍪☕

Finally, residents at Rosewood House enjoyed a trip in the sunshine, met a local dog, and finished the day with ice cream in the garden.

This week, we’re celebrating our wonderful Vicki as she leaves Frenchay House to take on her new role as Registered Manager at Belvedere Lodge.

We are incredibly proud of her and know she will continue to shine in this next chapter. Vicki will be greatly missed by us all Frenchay House, her presence, leadership, and dedication have made a lasting impact. 💙

Sunshine & Smiles Across Our Homes ☀️🌿

Last week, residents across all of our homes made the most of the long-awaited sunshine, spending quality time outdoors and enjoying our garden spaces. 🌸

To top it off, we celebrated Earth Day by getting hands-on with planting and repotting a variety of plants. From fresh blooms to a bit of soil under the nails, it was a lovely way to connect with nature and each other. 🌍💚

Moments like these bring so much joy, fresh air, and a real sense of wellbeing to our homes. Here’s to more sunny days ahead! ☀️

Staff Shout Out Weekend 🌟

This weekend at Rosewood, Melanie took the time to truly pamper our lovely ladies with beautiful manicures. There were smiles all around as everyone relaxed, enjoyed some well-deserved self-care, and shared plenty of lovely chats together. 💬💖

It was such a special treat, and all of our residents thoroughly enjoyed the experience, feeling appreciated, cared for, and uplifted.

A big thank you to Melanie for making the day extra special and bringing so much happiness to everyone! 💙👏

Last week, as part of our themed days, we celebrated a Zimbabwe-themed day across our homes, and what an incredible day it was!

This was a special opportunity to recognise and celebrate our amazing staff who come from this beautiful country. Our teams worked closely with to create a delicious, authentic menu… with empty plates all round! 🍽️👏

The celebrations didn’t stop there. Staff fully embraced the day by dressing in traditional outfits, sharing music, and bringing the culture to life across our homes. 🎶

We even discovered a hidden talent within our team, with Sharise at Rosewood having her music played across multiple homes! 🌟

A huge thank you to everyone who made the day so special. Moments like these bring us together and celebrate the diversity that makes AbleCare Homes so unique. 💙

From Level 2 Health and Social Care, to Level 3 Hospitality Team Leader, all the way through to Level 5 Leaders in Health and Social Care, our teams are continuously learning, developing, and striving to be the very best. 📚✨
