We continued our new year’s theme in Watercolour Wednesday with some city firework scenes.

Residents used their artistic talents to create some eye-catching artwork.

They will be displayed on the gallery wall to wish everyone a happy new year 2026.🎉🥳🍾

Residents started their new year resolutions early today by joining in our daily stretch and breathwork routine.

It is important to keep our joints supple and use our breath to calm our nervous system, reducing stress and anxiety.

This daily routine improves focus, boosts our mood, enhances sleep as well as offering both mental and physical benefits like better immunity and digestion.

Managing our daily stresses and accessing a deeper self awareness helps to connect our mind, body and spirit. 🧘‍♂️

After all the fun of Christmas, we turned our attention to the new year today.

Residents answered questions about new year celebrations then identified capital cities from photos of their new year firework displays.

We finished off the afternoon with a game of Bocca. After a few trial runs, everyone got the hang of it and some high scores were achieved! 🤩

What else could we paint in Watercolour Wednesday but Father Christmas! 🎅

We had some red ones and traditional green ones but it was a nice way to spend a calm afternoon after the madness of this morning!

Christmas craziness this morning! From ukulele solo’s in residents rooms to Xmas trees and gingerbread men also paying a visit!

Ben entertained residents and played requests in their rooms whilst the Xmas tree and gingerbread man also sang festive songs to much amusement!🎄

FJ Singers kept us entertained this afternoon with a mixture of golden oldies and Christmas tunes.

Only 2 more sleeps so everyone was definitely getting into the festive spirit.

We had lots of fun catching, throwing and kicking a beach ball this morning.

Residents showed off their hand eye coordination and could keep up a good pace.

It was great fun, shame we weren’t at the beach! 🏖️
