“You Are Enough — This Year Too

As the year unfolds, you are allowed to move slowly. You are allowed to change your mind. You are allowed to stay the same. You are allowed to be a work in progress without turning yourself into a problem to solve.”

Angelique explores how New Year’s resolutions can harm mental health. Discover a kinder approach to mental health without the need to reinvent yourself.

✨ End-of-Year Burnout Is Real ✨

If you’re feeling drained, unfocused, or simply done, you’re not alone.
December can feel like a sprint to the finish line—deadlines, socials, family expectations, financial pressure… then January arrives asking for “new year, new you” energy when many of us barely have anything left to give.

So if you’re moving slowly right now, if you’re tired despite “doing less,” or if your mind feels heavier than usual—please know this: You’re human, not a machine. Burnout at the end of the year is common, and there is nothing wrong with you for needing rest.

Here are a few gentle things you can put in place as we close the year and step into the next:

☕️ End-of-Year + New Year Coping Tips

1. Schedule pockets of nothing

Literally block out time where you don’t plan anything. Rest doesn’t just “happen”—you have to make room for it.

2. Say “no” without guilt

You don’t have to attend every event or carry every responsibility. Protect your energy the same way you protect your time.

3. Lower the bar

Not every task needs your 110%. Some things can be “good enough.” Give yourself permission to choose ease.

4. Do one grounding habit

Pick one small routine to anchor your days—morning sunlight, a short walk, journaling, stretching, breathing. Keep it simple.

5. Reconsider January pressure

You don’t need a full rebrand on Jan 1. You don’t need to transform your life overnight. Let the year start slowly.

6. Check in with someone you trust

Share how you’re feeling. Burnout feels heavier when you try to carry it alone.

7. Rest without earning it

You don’t have to “deserve” rest. Being alive is enough.

💛 A final reminder

You made it through another year.
Through the hard days, the good days, and everything in between.
Give yourself the softness, time, and patience you freely give to others.

You are allowed to rest. You are allowed to reset.
