I would have LOVED a role model like Amelia when I was younger - can you imagine as your younger self just walking through the gym straight to those weights without feeling intimidated and TOTALLY bossing a strength workout?!

This collaboration means so much to me! Working with Amelia, a young PT so knowledgeable about the female body.

Whether you're strength training already or not this is a fundamental class to join.

Regardless of age we can all benefit from strengthening but in menopause we have to do it the right way and meet our bodies where we're at.

🚨 Lifting heavy or going hard at the gym… but not seeing results?!

— it’s not how it should be -but is very common

Maybe you’ve been consistent at pump class for years and nothing’s changed.
Or … you have changed, just not in the way you imagined.

I hear you!

💡 Most exercise advice is designed for young male physiology 😳 especially ‘eat a tonne of protein and lift heavy’

🫷🏼In midlife, the natural ageing process (declining muscle, a slower liver, hormone shifts) makes it harder to see results.

🚨Diet AND 🚨technique not tailored to women? Wowwww, no bloody wonder!

So no, “go harder” isn’t the answer.
We’ve moved on.

You can obviously lift heavier and progress, what I’m saying is… do it smartly!

The biggest thing I learned was how women’s bodies respond to different exercise intensities. — especially in midlife.

We’ve been conditioned by:
“Go hard or go home.”
“No pain, no gain.”

BUT this doesn’t take into account our FEMALE physiology.
We get away with it when we’re younger but not no more!

Something WILL give.

Our bodies are more stress sensitive now (and always were)

Why do so many women slog it out at the gym or run like the wind only to still feel exhausted or see few results?

🙋🏻‍♀️ Well, I have a quite a few ideas around that unsurprisingly!

✅ You need to be clear on why you’re exercising and what your goals are.
✅ You need to work with where your body is at right NOW.

Yes, you can (and should) do a mix of exercise.

But sometimes the smartest move is actually to step back, regulate your system, and rebuild from there.

That being said there are definitely some non negotiables

I know how hard that sounds 🙋🏻‍♀️

When “doing everything” has become part of your identity, it can feel like losing yourself if you step back.

But if you keep doing it all, you’ll stop others from growing and won't prioritise your needs.

If you’re now in midlife or perimenopause, your body is calling louder than ever for your attention.

I’m not saying you need to overhaul your life overnight.

🤏🏼 One pause in your day / week to check if you’re busyness is actually aligned with what you want for yourself and those around you.
