I’ve always been fascinated
how spaces speak to us,
not loudly by being felt.
How the body knows first
Enter a small, intimate place
and your shoulders soften.
Enter a vast, anonymous one
and something in you braces.
Light settles on the skin.
Textures carry memory.
Proportions guide the way we move,
pause, connect, withdraw.
Space is never neutral.
It supports us or asks something of us.
There is rhythm in how energy circulates,
in whether a place allows flow
or creates tension.
And slowly, almost unconsciously,
we merge ourselves with what surrounds us.
We become quieter in spaces that care.
More alert in spaces that don’t.
Constantly negotiating with the
environments we inhabit.
Imagine yourself daydreaming here
How do you feel physically, emotionally,
mentally, energetically, spiritually?
