Are you looking to kickstart a rewarding career in healthcare?
We have an exciting opportunity for a Pharmacy Apprentice to join our warm and welcoming team at Wrington Pharmacy, right at the heart of our village community.
This is a fantastic chance to earn while you learn, working towards your Pharmacy Technician Apprenticeship qualification over two years — with plenty of support from our experienced team along the way.
What you'll be doing:
Preparing and dispensing medicines with care and attention
Serving customers and offering helpful, friendly advice
Supporting our retail area and ensuring everything runs smoothly
Playing a key role in helping our community stay healthy and well
The role offers:
32 hours per week, including two afternoons of paid study leave so you can focus on your coursework
Although previous pharmacy experience is desirable, we will offer full in-house training, so enthusiasm and a willingness to learn are essential!

At the pharmacy, we have child-friendly liquid paracetamol for pain relief, as well as calamine lotion and virasoothe gel, both of which will help relieve itchy pox.

It's back to school time, and that means the risk of your children getting nits or head lice has increased.

What's the difference between nits and lice? Well, head lice are tiny, wingless insects that live in human hair and feed on blood circulating the scalp. Nits on the other hand, are the eggs laid by adult head lice and only take a week to hatch!

So how can you prevent nits? There technically isn't a way to prevent them, however constant monitoring using a fine-tooth comb is the best way to stay on top of your child’s nits. You can also tie up long hair and use light layers of hairspray which makes the hair sticky and uninhabitable.

If you do happen to find eggs or head lice during a regular check, don't panic! Speak to one of our pharmacy staff today for the most effective treatments for your child. We have combs, shampoo, gel, liquid and spray in stock to help combat unwanted visitors!
