We were so pleased to have been asked to support the development of this important storyline. We hope it helps people in seeking support.
The Bridge SARC UHBW’s sexual assault referral centre, has been praised on national television by Casualty actress Melanie Hill.
Melanie, who plays Siobhan in the hospital-based drama sought advice from UHBW colleagues at The Bridge for a storyline which sees her character sexually assaulted.
Speaking to Lorraine Kelly on Friday’s episode of Lorraine, Melanie said: “We had to make sure we give it the respect it deserves. I went to The Bridge, the SARC centre in Bristol, and talked to the ladies there. I must say they are an incredible organisation. They are all about the victim, and they are incredible people who work there."
