I LOVE being with my kids, but parenting through the summer holidays with POI and Graves’ Disease is a whole different challenge.

My thyroid’s still overactive, so I’m managing symptoms like anxiety, brain fog, fatigue and muscle weakness… all while trying to be present, patient and fun 😅 It’s a lot.

If you’re also parenting with a chronic illness or just running on low reserves, here are a few small things helping me feel more supported lately:

🌅 Morning
• Warm water w/ sea salt
• 5–10 mins daylight
• Quick dance/stretch
• Nourishing breakfast

🌿 Midmorning
• 5 mins legs-up-the-wall + slow breathing

🧘‍♀️ Afternoon
• Nature time (even just the garden)
• 10 mins nervous system reset (yoga nidra, humming, or tea + no doom scrolling)

🌙 Evening
• Herbal tea + calm lighting
• Screens off 1 hr before bed
• Magnesium glycinate
• 3 things I’m grateful for

🫙 Weekly prep tips
Batch cook, smoothie bags, snack jars, prepped lunch bits, tiny things that make life smoother.

You don’t have to do it all. Pick 1 or 2 things that help you feel more resourced. You matter too.

It’s a little like a pregnancy yoga class BUT SO MUCH MORE and designed for your birth partner! Your partner will learn hand on, practical and emotional skills to fully support you as you birth your baby.

Through my experience in pregnancy yoga, biomechanics for birth, and supporting births as a doula, I’m excited to share essential tools that will empower you and your partner for this incredible journey ahead!

A supportive birth partner can help to:

This social is for those of you currently attending my pregnancy or postnatal classes and it is a great way to get to know everyone better outside of class and build those much needed support networks.

This month we have who is one of the team at to talk about breast health. This will cover mastitis, blocked ducts and engorgement - you’ll be able to chat to her and ask her questions.

✨ Bloom Yoga Bumps & Babies Social is BACK!✨

After the success of our socials last year I’m so excited to announce that our first social of 2025 is happening THIS THURSDAY!!

They will then run on the first Thursday of each month (taking a break during the Summer holidays).

Our first guest expert of the year is a wonderful photographer who has kindly offered to take a photo of you and your little one (or bump!) at our social and you’ll receive a digital copy to keep ✨

Our social will be held at who is kindly offering us 10% off their brunch menu.

✨ Celebrating 5 years of Bloom Yoga ✨

Wow I can’t believe it’s been over 5 years since I began teaching Pregnancy Yoga in Jan ‘20!

Since training with LushTums I’ve been inspired to complete further training in fertility yoga, postnatal recovery and women’s health, menopause yoga, pelvic floor health, trauma release, pregnancy and postnatal doula support; I’m also completing further yoga training with Yoga Haven and LushTums at the moment! The list of trainings I want to do feels endless!

Training with LushTums changed my life! It was transformative and inspirational. It was just what I needed at that point in my life. Clare and Clair are both incredible and have provided me with ongoing support throughout the last 5 years. Also a huge thank you to all the LushTums teachers who support each other in our lovely WhatsApp group, I can’t wait for our CPD day together next week!

Yoga has been there for me, supporting me through the ups and downs of life for over 15 years; my practice has changed and flowed with what I’ve needed through all of it (even if I did have the giggles during my first ever yoga class!).

I’ve been teaching for five years and self employed now for two years and I wanted to say a HUGE THANK YOU to every single one of YOU, who has supported me by attending my classes or recommending me to your friends.

A big chunk of my clients find me through a ‘recommendation from a friend’ and it really does mean so much to me 🥰

“Hello :)

Just wanted to share my postive experience last week as hearing other people’s really helped me.

Jasper was born at southmead , I went into spontaneous labour at 39+6 and had a vaginal delivery.

In the few weeks before I did all the recommended things - drank my raspberry leaf, ate my dates and bounced on my ball and did the online bloom yoga that kate taught at home, he was in a really good position for labour.

In labour I found the Freya app invaluable, tens helpful in early labour but mostly just the yoga breathing. I never made it to the pool which was what I had hoped for (as arrived at 7cm and it was all a bit quick) but I didn’t care at the time.

I had paracetamol and gas and air and a total of 8hrs from waters breaking had him (and he was 9lb 10, first baby).

My pelvic girdle pain has vanished so there’s hope for you ladies with that!!

I am conscious I have been very lucky and a lot is out of our control so despite doing all these things it could have gone another way but I do really think these things all helped!!

My classes are super relaxed and a safe space for you and your baby. You’re encouraged to feed your baby in anyway that you need and we don’t need our practice to be calm or quiet for yoga! We focus on restoring the pelvic floor and core, whilst easing out any aches and pains.
