Our 'outstanding' rated care home is located in Soundwell, Bristol. Respite care is also available at our home.

We work hard to get to know every resident and their life history as so much of our care is based around life experiences and how we can use these as tools to provide excellent care. Our 'outstanding' rated care home, located in Soundwell, Bristol, offers 24/7 nursing care for older people with specific nursing needs, particularly those living with dementia. We are a Level 1 Dementia Care Matters Butterfly Service home, meaning we are achieving the highest of a recognised national standard in dementia care, providing good quality of life through our person and relationship focused dementia care.

We won’t let the cold weather stop us getting out & about - a trip to the harbourside & a visit to M shed for some, others went to Warmley wheelers for a bike ride - whilst some enjoyed board games & button crafts in the warmth & comfort of the lounge

Another wonderful manic Monday , starting with the joy from the wonderful Halloween ponies from million memories pony parties and therapy in the morning , then art club & choir upstairs whilst Halloween party downstairs in the afternoon, everyone seemed so happy especially after they enjoyed the marshmallows in the chocolate fountain 🤩

Yesterday, Robinson House Care Home took a group of residents on an exciting trip to Bristol Aerospace. From fascinating exhibits to the incredible sight of Concorde, smiles were everywhere! ✈️

A complete mixture of fun activities in the last 2days - Fruit skewers as food activity, Tiny the tortoise on his skateboard ( thanks Kylie 🥰) castle building with magnetic blocks, not forgetting Art club & Nameste & Choir! Then Autumn reminiscence where we talked about all the animals we see in autumn and Iris recalled how her daughter bought a baby fox home, the different autumn leaves and favorite colours, and how they used to go on walks in the arboretum, foods they would cook this time of year, soup stew etc, and also about holidays, If they went abroad to escape the cold or loved camping and fires! And if their children went on like scout camp which some did - something for everyone 🤩

A wonderful afternoon celebrating Black History Month at Brunelcare's ABC Centre Extra Care Housing 🖤

Some of our amazing carers came together to share their beautiful traditional clothing, music, and food — bringing so much colour, culture, and joy to the day.

From cooking and tasting delicious traditional dishes 🍚 to learning about the meaning behind them, it was a fantastic way to connect, celebrate, and appreciate the diversity within our team and community.

A huge thank you to everyone who took part and shared their culture with such pride and warmth. 🖤

What better place to visit on a crisp Autumn day other than Westonbirt -
The array of beautiful colours were truly breathtaking, such peace and harmony whilst walking along the windy paths.
Tree hugging (Video to follow) collecting leaves which we plan to use in our autumnal displays and a shoulder massage before heading home
We cannot wait to visit again 🍁 🍂 🍃 🌲 🪵🌳 🚌

Today is WORLD MENTAL HEALTH DAY it’s a day to educate & raise awareness, to remove the stigma and recognise the effect mental health has on people & what can be done to help
Every day we focus on our residents mental health by ensuring that we offer meaningful stimulation & physical activities , relaxation & fun activities that people can enjoy & also 1-1 mindfulness & Nameste to give people space to express their emotions
Try to reduce boredom & lonliness, by giving people a sense of belonging & worth…. We offer support to families & staff too with inclusive & mindfulness sessions - be kind let people know they are noticed valued & they matter ❤️

🐶🐹🐢 A Morning of Creature Cuddles at Little Heath Reablement!

There were smiles all around at Little Heath Reablement as they welcomed some very special visitors from Creature Cuddles Animal Handling.

Melissa brought along an adorable mix of animals — including guinea pigs, dogs, and even tortoises — for our residents and staff to meet, cuddle, and learn about.

Moments like these mean so much to everyone here. Spending time with animals always lifts spirits, sparks conversation, and brings pure joy to the day.

A huge thank you to Melissa and Creature Cuddles for such a lovely visit — we can’t wait to see you (and your furry friends) again soon! 💕

We’re incredibly proud to share that Little Heath Care & Support and Glastonbury Care Home have both been awarded the Gold Standards Framework (GSF) Quality Hallmark Award – recognising the outstanding end of life care they provide. 💜

The awards were presented at the GSF Annual Conference and Awards Ceremony on Friday 26th September at East Side Rooms in Birmingham – a celebration of the UK’s exceptional health and social care providers delivering compassionate care in the final year of life.

Little Heath and Glastonbury were two of 172 organisations from across the country to receive this prestigious national recognition, and we couldn’t be prouder of their dedication, compassion, and excellence.

💜 Today, our amazing team at Brunelcare Colliers Gardens came together to raise awareness for Alzheimer’s Awareness Month by proudly wearing purple. Staff not only showed their support but also raised money for this fantastic cause — well done to everyone involved! 👏

Alzheimer’s Awareness Month takes place every September and is dedicated to shining a light on Alzheimer’s disease and other forms of dementia. It’s a time to raise understanding, challenge stigma, and show support for the millions of people and families affected worldwide.

By wearing purple, our team helped spark conversations and remind everyone of the importance of research, support, and community in the journey with dementia.

We’re so proud of our Colliers Gardens staff for their efforts — small actions like these make a big difference. 💜

At Brunelcare, community is all about coming together, sharing, and creating moments of joy — and that’s exactly what our Orchard Grove Reablement Centre experienced last week thanks to Fish N Fry! 🐟🍟💙

They kindly donated delicious fish and chip meals for the centre's guests and staff, which not only went down a treat but also sparked a wonderful new community connection.

Guests described the food as “the best fish and chips they’ve had” and “beautifully cooked” — the smiles and happiness it brought to Orchard Grove were truly heartwarming.

A huge thank you to Fish N Fry for their generosity and for showing us what community spirit is all about.
