New blog post:

The Three Treasures

The Three Treasures of Jing, Qi and Shen are the foundations for personal health. ⚕️

Jing (精; essence) - The densest and most three-dimensional of the three treasures, Jing is often simplistically referred to in terms of sexual fluid in men and women. Inherited by our parents, Jing drains every day until our deaths, and in this way is closely associated with the kidneys. 🍆

Qi (氣; Energy, vitality) - The most recognisable and misunderstood of The Three Treasures. Rather than being a three-dimensional substance that can be observed under a microscope, it is better to think of Qi as a function of the body. The free flow of qi is and the correct direction of it is paramount to good health.
💨

Shen (神; Spirit, soul) - Shen is the most subtle of The Three Treasures. Its nature is ethereal and related to heavenly consciousness. One can see the state of another’s Shen, particularly in the eyes (windows to the soul) where they will be ‘shining’ if in balance. 👁

All three are interrelated and can transmute into any of their counterparts. Daoism has a long history of internal alchemical practices which enable a practitioner to accomplish this. ☯️

The Foundation of Personal Health Jing ( 精;  essence) – Jing can simply be referred to in terms of essence and vitality. This can be explained in three-dimensional terms when one thinks of s***m in men and ova in women. Jing is gifted to us at the time of conception by our pare

Patient testimonial:

Ruth sought help with amenorrhoea (no period) that had persisted for 12 months 🗓

After relevant lifestyle advice that Ruth diligently took on board and only one acupuncture treatment her period returned to normal 🩸🪡

“[…]ALONGSIDE THE DIETARY CHANGES I MADE OVER A FEW MONTHS, I WAS SHOCKED AND DELIGHTED TO FIND I GOT MY PERIOD THE DAY AFTER THE ACUPUNCTURE TREATMENT”.

Chinese medicine has a long, comprehensive history of treating gynaecological disorders in women 🇨🇳

In 1237 A.D. the first book dedicated to gynaecology, The Complete Book of Effective Prescriptions for Diseases of Women was published 🚺

There are specific treatment principles that can be utilised based upon where a female is in her cycle, which can be used alongside their individual diagnosis to regulate their menstrual flow 🩸

Reach out if you’d like to know more about how I can help you.

What is auriculotherapy? 👂🪡

* A form of acupuncture developed by Dr. Paul Nogier in the 1950s 🪡

* Accidentally discovered when a patient came to Dr. Nogier after reporting sciatic pain relief after having a certain area of their ear cauterised 😮‍💨

* Over the next 30 years a full map of the ear was produced in relation to their whole body correspondences 🦵

* Embraced by the TCM fraternity who furthered the research done in France by finding further locations and clinical outcomes ☯️

* Dr. Nogier incidentally discovered the pulse quality (the Vascular Autonomic Signal) changed when certain ear points were palpated, often indicating where the needles should be inserted 📈

* The VAS can also be used to diagnose dyslaterality between the two hemispheres of the brain 🧠

I’ve written a short blog post on my website going into a little more detail for those interested.

To discover how auriculotherapy can help you, please contact me and we can discuss any issues you’re currently experiencing.
