The Three Treasures
The Three Treasures of Jing, Qi and Shen are the foundations for personal health. ⚕️
Jing (精; essence) - The densest and most three-dimensional of the three treasures, Jing is often simplistically referred to in terms of sexual fluid in men and women. Inherited by our parents, Jing drains every day until our deaths, and in this way is closely associated with the kidneys. 🍆
Qi (氣; Energy, vitality) - The most recognisable and misunderstood of The Three Treasures. Rather than being a three-dimensional substance that can be observed under a microscope, it is better to think of Qi as a function of the body. The free flow of qi is and the correct direction of it is paramount to good health.

Shen (神; Spirit, soul) - Shen is the most subtle of The Three Treasures. Its nature is ethereal and related to heavenly consciousness. One can see the state of another’s Shen, particularly in the eyes (windows to the soul) where they will be ‘shining’ if in balance. 👁
All three are interrelated and can transmute into any of their counterparts. Daoism has a long history of internal alchemical practices which enable a practitioner to accomplish this. ☯️
The Foundation of Personal Health Jing ( 精; essence) – Jing can simply be referred to in terms of essence and vitality. This can be explained in three-dimensional terms when one thinks of s***m in men and ova in women. Jing is gifted to us at the time of conception by our pare
