🎖🌍 We are pleased to share we have achieved a silver standard award for reducing our carbon footprint within the practice 🌍🎖

The NHS alone is responsible for 4-5% of the UK’s carbon footprint. To help reduce this, the Royal College of General Practitioners have developed the Green Impact for Health project that we have been taking part in. This has guided us to become more environmentally friendly by reducing our carbon emissions and plastic waste, helping us to improve care for both people and the planet at the same time.

⭐ MEET THE TEAM! ⭐ Secretaries 📇

Our versatile Secretaries manage our outgoing letters and referrals. Both Becky and Jo are fairly new to the surgery and have integrated really nicely into the team. They are incredibly flexible and always open to trying new systems or different ways of working. Their daily tasks include typing up dictations, sending referrals to hospital and community clinics via the electronic referral system, processing summary care record requests from police and other agencies, alongside responding to various queries from both internal and external health professionals.

Patients often come back to us when a referral has been sent to ask when they might be seen. The website our secretaries use to check waiting times is available to the public via the following link https://www.myplannedcare.nhs.uk/swest/north-bristol/?fbclid=IwAR2_9QTpYbySWwh-Jn0_mqjU_znDSlOQqlw0yogiTdk31z-wpgRqIKN2-co
