What a lovely week we’ve had at Fairview! ✨

We began the week with some meaningful 1-1 time with our residents, followed by some wonderful Morris dancing from our activities team which brought lots of smiles and laughter throughout the home. 💃

Over the week we’ve enjoyed plenty of music, singing, reminiscing and spending quality time together, with many special memories and conversations shared along the way. 🎶

We finished the week by celebrating National Train Day with train-themed colouring and documentaries, which sparked lots of interest and discussion among our residents. 🚂 ☺️

🇬🇧 VE Day Celebrations at Fairview 🇬🇧

What a wonderful morning we had celebrating VE Day in Rose Garden today! ☕🎶

A huge thank you to all of our lovely residents and family members who joined us for a morning full of fun 🇬🇧✨

There were plenty of smiles, lots of laughter, and a few dance moves thrown in too! From sharing memories to singing along to the classics, the room was full of joy from start to finish.

We may have only planned a coffee morning… but it quickly turned into a full-on Fairview celebration! ❤️

Sensory Wednesday:

This afternoon, our residents got to enjoy some special one-on-one sensory time, from feeling and touching the different textures of items to putting their sense of smell to the test, identifying the different essential oils. 👃🌸✨

Such a beneficial activity for our residents, providing tactile (touch), visual, and smell stimulation, boosting cognitive function and helping to reduce anxiety in a calm and peaceful environment, sparking conversations. 💖😊

Relaxing Saturday at Fairview!

We've had a wonderfully relaxing Saturday at Fairview today. We truly cherished the special one-on-one time, which included freshly painted nails, engaging word searches, dot-to-dot activities, 💅🧩 and some truly meaningful reminiscence. ✨️

🌍✨ Global Intergenerational Week at Fairview ✨🌍

What a truly heartwarming day we’ve had!

Our residents were absolutely delighted as our wonderful team brought in their children for a very special afternoon together. Blossom Lounge was bursting with energy, laughter, and joy as little ones and residents came together to share nursery rhymes, play musical instruments, and create such a lovely atmosphere.

There’s something so special about bringing generations together—smiles were shared, songs were sung, and memories were made that will stay with us all 💛

A huge thank you to our amazing staff for bringing along your beautiful children and making today so memorable. We had the best afternoon!

Midweek magic is in the air—it can only mean one thing… Wednes-FUN-day! ✨

What a fantastic morning our residents had in Primrose Lounge enjoying It Takes Two! From the moment the music started, the room was full of energy, smiles, and excitement. 🎤

There was plenty of singing along, lots of laughter, dancing in seats, and wonderful smiles all around. It was lovely to see everyone joining in, clapping along, and enjoying the music together. 💃🏼

We love music at Fairview and there is nothing better than seeing everyone get involved, sharing special moments, and having such a wonderful time together. ❤️

Today we brought the outside… inside! 🌱☀️

Our residents got their green fingers at the ready and enjoyed planting sunflowers and pumpkins today. Gardening is always such a lovely sensory activity, bringing plenty of conversation and hands-on fun for everyone involved.

We also got creative with some lovely spring 3D arts and crafts, adding even more colour to the day. 🌸🎨

Now it’s time to water, wait, and watch them grow! Fingers crossed, in a few months we’ll have beautiful bright sunflowers and pumpkins ready just in time for autumn. 🌻🎃

Monday Morning Melodies 🎶

The sun was shining in Blossom Lounge this morning ☀️. Our residents enjoyed singing along to their favorite songs, accompanied by musical instruments and ribbons 🥁🔔🪇🎀.

Such an uplifting way to start the week with plenty of smiles and laughter. Music has such a special way of bringing joy and happiness to our residents. 😊😄
