This evening we were delighted by a visit of the local ice cream van. Everyone, including residents, staff and sisters were treated to an ice cream of their choice. This was particularly welcomed on one of the hottest days of the year so far. We all sat around in the shade making special memories and having fun.

This afternoon we were delighted to welcome Terry Maggs, President of Bristol Catenian Circle 26 who presented Mother Jacintha with a cheque for £1750 (an additional £250 was donated earlier this year towards a prize for our Summer Fayre, making a fantastic total of £2000). This was the proceeds from a Gala Charity Music Concert the Catenians staged on 10 June at St Patrick’s Church, Redfield. The evening itself included superb performances & well known music from shows like Les Misérables, Phantom of the Opera, West Side Story, Oliver, Carousel and many others. Guest artists included Stephanie Lee, Chloe Shiner, Neil Baker, Terry Maggs and Music Director & Accompanist, Steve Clarke. A Gala Buffet and drinks were served in the Brooks Hall before the event which people thoroughly enjoyed. Over 250 people attended this amazing night filled with music in the most beautiful venue. Thank you so much for your kind support, we are so very grateful.
God bless you all,
Sister Jacintha and Community 🙏

Today is the last day of May, the month of the Rosary, which invited us to rediscover the beauty and power of this ancient prayer. The Holy Rosary is a loving embrace of Mary's maternal care, a contemplation of the mysteries of Christ's life, and a powerful weapon against evil. As we hold the rosary beads, we hold the very moments of our salvation, and with each Hail Mary, we entwine our hearts with the Immaculate Heart of Mary.

Today we all said the Rosary in the Chapel. Let us continue to embrace this sacred devotion, and allow the Rosary to transform our lives, our families, and our world, as we pray for peace, mercy, and the triumph of the Kingdom of God. 🙏🙏🙏🙏

We are truly blessed to have our new Bishop Bosco drop in to see us all today on his day off. He was so relaxed, peaceful and patient as he chatted with the residents, staff and Sisters. St Joseph’s is his home and he is very welcome here anytime.
Sr Jacintha and Community.

Wise and loving God, help us to create a community of love and peace as our new Bishop Bosco leads our Diocese. Help him to show humility, empathy and love to all your people. Help him to be a Bishop who cares not only for the people of Clifton but anybody who comes to seek his help. Someone who is honest and approachable, someone who will help us to follow you. Someone who can bring out the best in us, someone who isn’t afraid to ask for help.Someone who can understand. Amen 🙏 🙏🙏

We were absolutely delighted and proud yesterday, 1st May and the Feast of St Joseph the Worker, when 5 of our Association of Jeanne Jugan members renewed their annual promise and 2 new members made their first promise after a yearlong programme of formation. We were also joined at mass by 2 of the 3 new members starting their 12 months of formation this month.

Jeanne Jugan Associates are the extension of our hands and heart. They participate in our mission in many ways, each according to his or her talents, interests and family/professional obligations.

Congratulations and thank you for your continued dedication and commitment to our home and community. God bless you.
Love from Sr Jacintha and community 🙏🙏🙏
