✨It’s the final day of Neurodiversity Celebration Week ✨

This week, we’ve talked about understanding and valuing difference.

Today, let’s go one step further… let’s recognise strengths.

Behind every label, there is a person with unique ways of thinking, creating and solving problems.

🔶 ADHD
🔶 Autism
🔶 Dyslexia
🔶 Dyspraxia
🔶 Dyscalculia
🔶 Tourette syndrome.

These are not just challenges to manage.

They also come with valuable strengths that organisations often overlook.

When we take time to understand people as individuals, we start to see what they bring; not just what they find difficult.

Take a look at the reel. You’ll find just a few of the many strengths linked to each neurodifference.

❇️ Inclusion goes beyond awareness.
❇️ It calls for action, curiosity, and adapting the way we work.

As we close this week, let’s ask ourselves:

👉 What strengths might we be missing?
👉 What small changes could make a big difference?

The real impact comes from continuing this conversation beyond today. 💛

Happy International Women’s Day! 🌸

This year’s theme, “Give to Gain”, is a powerful reminder of how much we can achieve when we support one another.

Today feels like a lovely opportunity to share about the International Women’s Day lunch I attended on Friday, organised by Linda James from BulliesOut: Empowering Future Generations, together with Beth Baldwin.
It was such a joyful and uplifting event, surrounded by so many inspiring women.

We listened to our guest speakers who shared her powerful and inspiring career journey.

The afternoon was full of connection and celebration. We ate, talked, laughed, danced and even sang together!

And the best part is that while enjoying ourselves, we were also supporting a fantastic charity that works hard to tackle bullying and create safer spaces for young people.

Here’s to continuing to lift each other up and remembering that sometimes, when we give… we gain even more. 💜

It takes a village… WAW! ✨

Last night was the very first — of many, I’m sure — Women’s Award Wales at the Senedd in Cardiff.

And what a powerful evening it was.

The community that Beth Baldwin, Emma Jay and Andrea Byrne have created through Women's Academy Wales is something special.

Thank you for bringing this event to life and for creating a space that supports, encourages and inspires women entrepreneurs to step forward with confidence.

We celebrated eight award categories, and I had the honour of sponsoring the Allyship Award.

For me, allyship means opening doors, sharing experiences, and using our voice when it counts. It’s choosing to stand beside women as they grow in confidence, leadership and impact...

That’s why sponsoring this award meant so much to me. ❤️

Huge congratulations to all the winners across every category, and especially to Penny Lock for winning the Allyship Award.

and to every woman nominated and every finalist. YOU ARE ALL WINNERS. The courage to put yourself forward matters.

I loved having the NatWest Business Accelerator Cardiff friends with us.

What a night. What a community!!

What a fantastic day at The with its theme "Resilience Rock" on 20th February in Birmingham

It was inspiring to be surrounded by so many passionate entrepreneurs and to learn from their journeys.

I’m thrilled to have received the photo with Theo Paphitis s, someone I admire and respect, and to have received so much advice, guidance, and encouragement throughout the day.

Having Theo and the recognise the work we do at Apoyo Courses Ltd. Courses is a huge milestone. It’s a moment that fills me with gratitude, pride, and excitement for the next chapter of our journey.

Thank you, Theo, for your support, inspiration, and belief in small businesses; it really makes a difference.

I can’t wait to see what’s next for Apoyo Courses as we continue this journey!

It's Monday and I’m still buzzing from last Friday ✨

On Friday, I had the pleasure of attending the SBS Small Business Sunday event hosted by Theo Paphitis in Birmingham.

It was such a special experience. So many winners together, being recognised and celebrated and Courses was one of them.

The day was filled with inspiring talks, meaningful conversations, and a lovely chance to pause and reflect on our businesses.

I feel incredibly grateful to be an winner and to have been invited.

A massive thank you to Theo Paphitis , the team, and all the brilliant speakers.

A special mention to Katie Piper. Her story, strength, and resilience were very moving and unforgettable... thank you!

It was my very first time attending, and honestly… I’m already looking forward to next year 😊

One of the best parts of these events is the connections you make. It was great meeting so many new amazing entrepeneurs.

And the cherry on top?

Sharing the day with my wonderful husband, and seeing my dear friend and amazing business owner Emma Doyle from Sweet Williams there with hers. That made everything even more special. We laughed, we reminisced, and had the best catch-up.

A very special day indeed!!

On Tuesday, we celebrated the Mastering Diversity Conference Awards at the Senedd Cymru in Cardiff… and what a night!

I didn’t post straight away because I had to head to Liverpool at dawn the next morning to deliver a course to a brilliant group… Busy days, but all worth it.

The evening was full of inspiring, talented people who are genuinely making a difference. I felt incredibly honoured to be in that space.

Moments like this remind me why I love what I do. Diversity, inclusion, and belonging are deeply connected to mental health, and creating spaces where people feel seen, valued, and supported is something I care about deeply; shaped by everything I’ve gone through and witnessed along the way.

I’m incredibly grateful for my “Rising Star” Award🌟. Being recognised for work that comes from the heart means so much. Thank you, Bernie Davies, for organising such an amazing event.

It was wonderful to share the evening with the Women’s Academy Wales community and friends Beth Baldwin, Emma Jay, Caroline Smith, and Ellie Starkwood… huge congratulations on being finalists and on your awards; all so well deserved.

What a night. My heart is full.💖

✨ Feeling incredibly happy and honoured! ✨

I’m a finalist for the Champions in Education category at the Mastering Diversity Conference Awards 2025! 🌟

Huge thanks to Bernie Davies and the amazing Mastering Diversity Awards team for creating such an inspiring event, and to FinTech Wales for selecting me as a finalist. 🙏

I really believe that education is the most powerful way to share knowledge, raise awareness and break stigmas. It opens minds and drives real change. 💡

From my own lived experience, I’ve seen how deeply diversity and inclusion impact every person’s life. They shape who we are and how we connect with others. 💫

I’m so proud to be part of this movement that’s transforming learning spaces into places where everyone feels seen, connected and has a true sense of belonging. 💜

And a very special thank you to Beth Baldwin, I owe this one to you. ❤️

A big thank you to Bernie Davies for the lovely email! The work you do through Mastering Diversity is extraordinary. Your journey, your voice, and your passion inspire so many of us to keep pushing for inclusion.

I’m honoured to be recognised in this way. 🙏

And a massive thank you to Beth Baldwin for nominating me, I’m so grateful! 💫

My work in diversity and inclusion allows me to help people learn, reflect, and grow. Every session is an opportunity to connect, raise awareness, and build spaces where everyone feels valued and included. 💕

✨ I nearly missed this!

I wasn’t going to be able to attend the WAW Reignite Retreat yesterday. I had to deliver a course and didn’t sign up for the retreat.

My course was cancelled at the last minute (which was very frustrating!!)
.. but every cloud has a silver lining.

My day was freed and I could book onto the retreat at the very last minute (thanks a lot, Beth Baldwin 😘)

… it was meant to be! And I’m so glad it was, because the day was just incredible.

I spent it with amazing women who came together to lift each other up. We created a safe space where we could be open, vulnerable, and supportive of one another.

We met at the Beautiful Canada Lodge and Lake, the food was absolutely delicious, and we shared it under the warm sunshine. It felt so special 🌞🍴

A huge thank you to Beth Baldwin, Emma Jay, and Andrea Byrne for organising this event once again.

The photographer of the event was Gemma Griffiths, who not only captured the day beautifully but also took individual shots of each of us. She was just great! Thank you!📸

I feel recharged, inspired, and ready to embrace whatever comes my way.

Sometimes life has a funny way of redirecting us exactly where we need to be. Yesterday was that reminder for me 💛
