With over 15 years of competitive bodybuilding experience and 10 years working with clients BKM nutrition consultancy and personal training business benefits from a wealth of knowledge and practical experience

Clients from all walks of life are catered for, we provide nutrition and training advice for any person looking to lose or gain weight, increase muscle, or just to generally be healthier. We do not sell cookie cutter or cut and paste plans copied from others. Every plan is bespoke to the client. We take on only a limited amount of clients to ensure that we can pay each client close attention.

āœļøwriting out a list of 100 problems your ideal customer faces

šŸ‘ØšŸ»ā€šŸ’»develop those problems into a short paragraph about what they do as a result of these problems, what they believe and how it affects them

šŸ—£ļø Create some content by repurposing that paragraph to fit a Reel, post or minibook with some guidance on what to do to help solve the problem

šŸ’Ŗ create a simple tool to help solve one of these problems eg a guide, checklist, training video, eating planner etc

šŸ‘‹ ask who wants it and you’ll DM them the link

šŸ¤ give them it

šŸ—£ļø Start having a chat about it and other problems they are facing

āŒ don’t presume every person is a sale right away

šŸ‘ build a following of people that know, like and trust you because you didn’t cold DM them

šŸ’°Sell more of your coaching to the ideal clients it will get awesome results for

I need a bit of help

I've built a 5 minute test/quiz that will give fitness coaches a really clear idea about where they need to improve their business

In a nutshell:

You answer about 30 questions and it gives you a personalised report with tips to improve based on your answers

so if you have a low score in say your content creation it will tailor the answers to that

So pretty useful

Trouble is

The only names I can think of are w***y bizniz guru type ones

Which you'll know I'm not about that life with unnecessarily long words which mean nothing

So I need name suggestions please

What should you post?
Well that really does depend on a few things

Context being high on the list

A discussion from my mentoring group yesterday went onto recipes

A lot of people will say that recipe posting is pretty irrelevant for coaches as no one uses them

Especially true for the coach who works with ā€˜busy professionals’ and then has a 10 ingredient recipe. Which takes 30 minutes to prepare

It’s just not aligned with the niche

But a recipe that takes 10-15 minutes to prepare with 4-5 ingredients and makes up to 5-6 meals may be useful

It saves the client time and helps them eat well for a few more days

All content can be useful in the right context and with the right audience

Sometimes people won’t be aware of the right context which applies to them so make sure the message is clear what the post is about

The longer you spend digging into your customers problems the better you’ll be at getting the context right

Spending time planning out your content will help with this

Looking at the next few weeks ahead can help you get the context timing perfect

Does content posting feel like an unending job?

Struggling to find stuff to talk about?
Feeling a bit stressed?

I've developed a simple formula that I use for creating consistent, relevant content

It's starts with finding 100 problems that your customers have

I've used this method for a few years now and it never fails to give me new ideas for topics I keep returning to

Because let's face it

The vast majority of social media is stuff that gets repeated over and over again in different ways

So don't feel obliged to be creating brand new ideas or concepts every day

Calorie Deficit? That's not going to change as the method of fat loss

but you can talk endlessly about the problems around creating that deficit

I also see many coaches not repurposing their content for the same topic

Videos, carousels, memes and static images can all be about the same topic and spaced out over a few weeks

Sometimes coaches forget that they should be conveying a consistent message. Instead going for viral likes on a post

Here's a step by step approach I use for my content

It may seem obvious and simple

But the amount of coaches I've given it to who immediately see a change in their posting is unreal

What’s your idea of your ideal body?

For me at 25 it was this

I always loved the classical physique of guys like Bob Paris. This pose was one I practiced for hours to perfect

At 5’4 I was never going to be a mass monster. Although I carried a lot of size my strengths were in my symmetry

For me the perfect body was about being lean, with good amounts of muscle in the right proportions

Contest dieting means being in extreme lean condition but that’s not possible every day

Extreme diets are not sustainable

Extreme results are not sustainable

Getting fat off initially can be difficult

But once you’re in a decent level of body fat and have been there for a while the body resets it’s ā€˜normal’ level

Making it easier to maintain a lower level of body fat

The one thing that most people lack?

Accountability

They know what they need to do but can’t do it

Motivation. But no action

Coaching will help with the action part

My job as a coach is to drive you to action using your motivation

You might wake up every day motivated to change

But no idea how to start or keep going

Both Dan and I have ran a group model as part of our businesses for many years

There is a very solid framework for the build up, selling and delivery

Coaches often neglect the importance of the launch which then damages their sign ups

They suddenly announce they are opening their program and there's no build up

There's no flirting from the coach with the idea of working together

As a result potential customers aren't ready to decide if they want to join or not

As a result many people who would have benefited from the program never join

This is a bad outcome for both the coach and the client

Nutrition doesn’t have to be complex

Over the years of being a bodybuilder and then moving into nutrition as a business I’ve witnessed a LOT of very silly things being done or said about nutrition.

Trouble is, I didn’t know at the time that they were silly

They seemed believable

- Eat more fat to burn fat - Cut out carbs to accelerate fat burning - Take this fat burner it will activate Hormone XYZ - Insulin stores fat - Fasted cardio burns more bodyfat - Eats tons of protein to build muscle The list goes on
