A huge thank you to Redland Wind Band who voted to donate the proceeds of their Christmas Raffle to Bristol Recovery Orchestra 🎶

Sophie, Zoe and Hamilton were invited to speak at last Saturday's concert and got to enjoy a brilliant concert of festive favourites and sing a longs as a bonus.

Always a privilege to speak to the wider community about what we do - thank you to Redland Wind Band for the opportunity!

Today marks the *xWorkers which is a day of remembrance. We take this time to reflect on s*x workers (sworkers) who have lost their lives to violence.

❤️☂️ Many sworkers lives are placed on a precarious intersection where criminalisation, misogyny and socioeconomic disparity all meet.

❤️☂️ Today, we'll explore this intersection in solidarity with sworkers and discuss how co-production of strategies and services are essential moving forward.

Today's singing workshop at Emerge🎶

Rising Voices led a workshop and a festive sing at Emerge's weekly meeting this Monday, hosted by the amazing team at The Salvation Army on Hassell Drive.

With just 7 of us, we sang three part harmony songs to bring hope and light during what can be a tricky time for some of us. And most memorably, got the room up on their feet shaking percussion along to Jingle Bells.

Thank you to Rosie and Kim from the Salvation Army for hosting us and sharing a delicious breakfast with us, to the residents of Emerge for singing with us, and to the 7 brave Rising Voices members who sang a full set with a third of our usual numbers!

‘Voice of the Voiceless’: Reducing stigma for people receiving Opioid Substitution Therapy

We're super excited to share this project we've been a part of, in partnership with the University of Bristol, Bristol City Council, Developing Health & Independence, and Harm Reduction Mothers2Mothers.

The aim of this booklet is to increase awareness and reduce stigma around Opioid Substitution Therapy, particularly in a Pharmacy setting.

BDP Creative Communities has a new website and branding!

We're so excited to finally launch our new branding and website, designed and built by the brilliant AD Styles and Jay Burt ! We finally have a design we love, and we are so grateful for the many, many hours they have spent on our project.

Over the years, our steering group and group members have contributed logo ideas and developed values that truly represent us. AD and Jay captured all of these ideas and presented them in a colourful, fun, and creative way that showcases who Creative Communities really are.

Now there's one place where you can stay up to date with our events, explore photo galleries from our shows, read our latest blogs, and so much more!

Check it out via the link Creative Communities below and let us know what you think! 👉
