💥 What is Shockwave Therapy? 💥

Shockwave therapy is a non-invasive treatment used to relieve pain and promote healing in chronic musculoskeletal conditions like tendinopathy, plantar fasciitis, and frozen shoulder. It works by delivering high-energy sound waves to the affected area, stimulating blood flow and tissue regeneration.

⚡️ Benefits:

Reduces pain and inflammation
Speeds up tissue repair
Improves mobility and function
Suitable for stubborn injuries resistant to other treatments
It’s a powerful option for those looking to avoid surgery or prolonged medication use!

📅 Ask your physiotherapist if shockwave therapy is right for you!

🦵💥 Struggling with Tendinopathy? Here's What You Need to Know!

Tendinopathy, often referred to as "tendonitis," is a common overuse injury affecting the tendons, often seen in athletes or active individuals. It causes pain, swelling, and stiffness, making daily activities difficult.

💡 Key Points:

Tendinopathy often results from repetitive strain or overuse injury, simply doing too much, too soon, too fast. Poor technique or inappropriate footwear can also cause problems.

Common areas: Achilles tendon, plantar fascia (under your foot), patella tendon (below your knee cap), rotator cuff tendons (in your shoulder), and tennis and golfers elbow.

Rest is important, but structured rehab exercises are key to recovery.
The earlier the diagnosis and treatment, the better the outcomes.

How can Physiotherapy help?
👩‍⚕️ Physiotherapy can help restore strength, flexibility, and function to the tendon and associated area, getting you back to what you love.

If you're experiencing symptoms, don't ignore them - book an assessment.

Wall sit 'rules' & top tips...
- shoes with good grip - you don't want to feel like you are going to slide
- your feet need to be far enough away so that when you sit your shins are vertical
- sit low enough that you are at around a 90 degree knee angle
- do not push on your knees with your hands - keep your arms crossed or on your hips
- your back should stay flat against the wall

After her final shift on reception, Lydia Tang has officially set off on the adventure of a lifetime 🚶‍♀️✨

She’s taking on the legendary Pacific Crest Trail—walking all the way from the Mexican border in San Diego to the Canadian border 🇺🇸➡️🇨🇦

To say we have mixed emotions is an understatement…
Part of us is incredibly jealous 🤩—what an unbelievable experience this will be
The other part of us is a little worried 😱about the challenges and hazards ahead.

But if there’s one thing we’re certain of, it’s this:
Lydia’s talent, intelligence, and resilience will carry her through whatever comes her way 💪

Anyone who’s met Lydia will know just how special she is, so we know you’ll want to join us in wishing her the very best on this journey ❤️

We’ll share the occasional update here—but if you’d like to follow her adventure more closely, check out 👉

Lydia, it’s been an absolute privilege having you as part of the team this past year. You’ll be hugely missed—but we couldn’t be prouder of you 🌟

Go smash it 💙
